In the old Saturn cars, bad grounding is caused by corrosion at the ground points under the hood and rear of the frame. No crank, no start, 99 EB 5.4
I have a 1999 EB 5.4 Expedition with a no crank, no start situation. Last Wednesday night after work, it wouldn't start, started perfectly fine when I left for work, no signs of trouble, just didn't start all of a sudden. Tried jumping it, but no dice. 2000 Expo engine mount replacement
Check the exhaust heat shields. The rivets dissolve over time and allow the heat shields to rattle. I've driven a small car that this happened to, and I'm pretty sure my Expy is having the same heat shield rattle, at 188K it's time to check them even if you are not in the rust belt.- macbox

P0171 and P0174 From broken PCV elbow
I think I figured out what was causing my P0171 and P0174 system lean codes. Was poking around under the hood and it looks like my PCV elbow disintegrated. Bet I need to check the other end of this also. This is something I’ve been chasing for a while.- macbox

Alignment out of specs after 2 days
That is a lot of torque. I know I'm going to redo mine eventually, how do I reach that amount or torque at home with a wrench and pipe extension, or do I just need to find a good shop since it is such a big machine? I've done Saturn crank ends at 160, and that has worked fine, but 250 seems like...- macbox

Never tried Cerakote, but I've gotta say it it looks great, I checked out their website and it seems like an interesting product. My latest buy is Car Guys plastic restorer, which works really good on some of the plastic trim. Still have not gotten around to detailing my engine bay.- macbox

Recommendations for parts cleaning products?
I use acetone to get oil films off and leave surfaces prepped for sealants. Also used it to prep the block and head on a couple engines so they are squeaky clean for the head gasket. You can get it by the quart or gallon at a big box store, and I transfer it to a small squirt bottle for normal...- macbox

FL-820 housing change
