    Removing valve body and…..

Actually it the o/d piston does not use a snap ring to hold it in place. However, in this project, I reinstalled the valve body after removed the part of broken snap which was not allowing the o/d servo to move in the valve body, and still not overdrive!!! Anyone have any ideas as what might...

    Removing valve body and…..

Well I am having an issue with my trans, that only has approx 50k miles on it since being replaced by Ford, where it will neutral out going into overdrive. So anyway I was removing the valve body and as I brought it down the 2-3 piston came down with it. My questions are, is this normal? Also...

    Loss Overdrive….

Ok, so as the title said, I lost 4th gear/overdrive. I’m aware that this is most likely caused by a broken snap ring or a piece of a snap ring from the o/d piston. Anyway, I just dropped the pan and found this laying in the bottom of the pan. Anyone know what it is and where it goes?

Agreed! Again, it’ll make a nice upgrade for my wife from her worn out 05 that she refuses to give up on.

The reason it’s so cheap is because the lady who owned is sold it to the advisor who’s always taken care of this vehicle and customer. The advisor was my teammate when I worked at this dealership about 10 years ago, he’s also a good friend and he has too many projects going right now. Therefore...

Well it’s been sitting for a year and as you can imagine the battery is dead so no codes possible. However, the texh who took a quick look at it when it came in said he put a breaker bar on the crank bolt and the engine did turn about half a 1/4 revolution before it didn’t want to go any...

Broken spark plug thread in cyl head

Actually, I did kinda think of that but that thing is so seized in there it just made me nervous to do it myself because if I break the easy out off in the spark plug tube I’ve got a REAL BIG problem. I just decided to take the head off, take it to the machine shop & let them do it. Only took...

I took a quick look at the oil condition today and looks pretty clean w/motorcraft filter on it. Looked at the history and this things has constantly been serviced at the Ford dealer, where it’s sitting right now, by one advisor. Not sure if what happened to it but it doesn’t seem to be lack of...

Not sure yet. I gotta get it home and drop the pan first. Mileage is less than 60k miles. I'm hoping for something in the top end (rocker arm or something). Stalled w/sitting at a light, the lady declined any diag and sold it to the attending advisor who's a friend of mine.

Yea it for sure is! I just hate, more to the point my HOA hates me, doing an engine in my driveway! But in the long run it'll be worth it.

Broken spark plug thread in cyl head

Yea not real common on the 3v engine. But to add to it I used the updated plugs (one piece Champions) the last time I changed them approx 60 miles ago. I think what happened was the vehicle has been sitting for the last 8 months and water was dripping off the cowl right onto that coil/plug...

Broken spark plug thread in cyl head

The only problem is that the threads from the spark plug are still stuck in the head. The kit doesn’t allow for this. I was thinking of drilling it out myself but I think I’m gonna take the head down to the machine shop that built my 426 Gen 3 hemi abd have them do it instead. They do this kinda...
