    Rear window defroster wiring

Very valid point. Don't use a soldering gun for this kind of repair, it's unnecessary and overkill. I used a Hakko iron set to 650 with a rather small tip that I use on PCB's and small point to point wire connections. Iron contact was probably less than 5 seconds total and I did my repair in...

    Rear window defroster wiring

Happened to me, as well. Mentioned it to the dealer and they only wanted to replace the entire rear glass. I was able to use a soldering iron to heat up the existing glob of solder, reinsert the metal tab, hold it there for a few seconds to heat up, remove the iron and let it cool down. It's...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

Oh they loved taking turns knocking the rotors off with a small sledge. Glad your PowerStop brakes are working well for you. I bedded these in per PowerStop instructions and so far they feel great. Maybe a little less initial bite than OEM, but definitely more stopping power as the pedal is...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

I haven't been on here much recently. The Expedition has been treating us well. That said, with 47k miles on the ODO, it was time to replace the brakes. Interestingly, the rear pass side inner pad was 2mm, while the driver side rear was probably 4-5mm. The driver side inner front pad was...

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

After 30k miles, my BFG KO2's (OEM Raptor take-offs) were nearing the end of their usable life. Not to mention getting noisy. Wanting to switch it up a bit, I went in a different direction looking for more comfort. I picked up a set of OEM F-150 Sport wheels that were new take-offs for a...

F150 Bilstein 5100 vs ready lift on 4th gen expedition

I had to do a double-take. Those Raptor wheels look good black! What size tires are on them?

F150 Bilstein 5100 vs ready lift on 4th gen expedition

No I did not have the Bilsteins on with the RL. I wouldn't recommend the RL over the Bilsteins because of the severe upper control arm angles and decreased downward travel which resulted in a rough ride, exaggerated top-heavy feeling, and decreased wheel travel off road. Others have described...

F150 Bilstein 5100 vs ready lift on 4th gen expedition

I just switched from the RL 3/2 spacers to the Expedition specific Bilstein 5100's front (24-285056) and rear (24-285063) on my 2018 XLT (non-CCD obviously). The only thing I regret about making the switch is not doing it sooner! Before I removed the RL spacers, I measured from the center of...

    Bilstein 5100 Lift Install

So what's the consensus on spring perch settings front/rear on the Expedition specific Bilstein 5100's? I have a set being delivered today to replace my RL 3/2 and would like to get them set right the first time. It looks like a lot of people are setting the fronts to max (1.6") and the...

Here are a couple pics. I use Yakima Jetstream crossbars, so this may not help you if you have OEM. Measurements tomorrow @AKentPhoto

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

It's a quality awning, for sure. Biggest benefit is that it sets up so quickly compared to my Foxwing. Biggest gripe is that I can no longer open the rear hatch fully with the awning extended. I'll see if I can adjust it to fix that this weekend. Sure. I'll post some today. Yep, I can do...

    Icon vs Kings.

Have any shots with the Icon UCAs? Curious what kind of clearance is gained over stock with the Icon UCA's. I'm seriously tempted to give this system a shot. The RL 3/2 ride quality is slowly wearing me down.
