I think you are correct and thank you for your advice. The Expedition is still in service and possible outcome may be to get a new transmission. Seems like it is a common issue with the 2018s that they should recall.- MCREN

Shift Sys Fault
I have a 2018 Expedition Limited with 2300 miles and got an error message showing Shift Sys Fault Service Required when I try to put it a reverse, neutral or drive today. I had to get it towed back home. Any suggestions on what may be going on?- MCREN
