Maybe a dumb question, but if my truck is out of warranty can the TSB be addressed at no cost to me? I’ve started experiencing front end grinding that seems like it could be related to the IWE issue described here.
Hi all,
Recently the CEL came on on my 2020 Platinum Max. When I scanned it I got the p04db code. I’m running an S&B CAI and Mishimoto dual catch cans which I’ve had on the truck for 35k miles and never had an issue with throwing codes. I figured the PCV valve must’ve gone bad so I replaced it...
Curious to hear if it solves your flutter issue. I have fluttering, mostly at highway speed in 10th gear on smallish uphill grades. Dealer couldn’t replicate the issue so I’m considering replacing the BOV as a potential solution.
How does it work with the trade when you’re ordering a new Expedition? Do they tell you the trade value at time of ordering but that it’s subject to change upon delivery of the new vehicle?
I was thinking of disconnecting the BOV return pipe to see what happens. I might give that a try this weekend. I also forgot to mention that I have an S&B intake. Maybe that’s pulling in too much air and since I don’t have a tune it’s creating an over boost situation?
It only has 12,000 miles, although nearly half of those miles are from towing a 7,000 pound travel trailer.
The noise in the video is not what I’m hearing on mine. That noise sounds like it’s constant under boost (mine comes and goes) and mine is not as high pitched.
I need to look more closely at the turbo gauge to see if it’s fluttering. I hadn’t been paying attention to it much until recently, but I didn’t really notice the gauge bouncing back and forth when I happened to glance while the truck was making the sounds.
Thanks, I have the Moog rear end links. I wasn’t aware of a direct fit aftermarket end link for the front, especially not from Hellwig, which is why I was asking.
I’ve been hearing a strange noise that seems to be coming from the BOV. I came to that conclusion because I only hear it after coming off of boost. It almost sounds like a muffled squeaking sound. It has also happened in more of an oscillating pattern under slight load at a steady speed (60mph...
