Broken Coil harness plug
Found a few online between $10-$26 each, so I'll be heading to the junk yard soon. Probably wouldn't spend more than $5.00 for a full set.- mpsjr

Broken Coil harness plug
I was changing my coil boots the other day, chasing a miss and a clip on one of the plugs that hooks onto the top of the coils broke. Now it won't clip into place and stay. I tried using electrician's tape to hold the plug in place, but it didn't work. Does anyone know if you can buy a repair...- mpsjr

Your best bet is to drop the tank and replace the entire assembly with a Motorcraft unit. RockAuto has good prices on them. If you bought the Airtrex from Napa or Autozone, get a refund.- mpsjr

Just want to ask a simple question that I might have missed the answer to earlier in the thread, but what brand fuel pump did you use? When mine died, I went through 3 Airtex pumps that all did what you're describing. If I tried to accelerate from a rolling stop, my truck would fall flat on...- mpsjr

Factory sub replaced
Did you try wiring the amp output to a new speaker? I had to cut the plug off of mine where it connected to the factory sub in order to hook up my new sub. Any 8" subwoofer will work, but you might have to modify the box. I'm not sure if "a standard" means a speaker or another amp. If...- mpsjr

That's what I thought too. An easy way to test it is to grab a speaker, if you have one lying around, and hook it up to the output side of the amp to see if it will play. I had no power coming out of my amp until I hooked up the new sub. There's a built in safety shut-off for the amp to keep...- mpsjr

Factory sub replaced
If your EB is a Gen1 with the Mach Audio system, then it has a sub. If you have no bass at all (like I did when I got mine), then your sub is probably blown. Ford designed the system to turn the bass off to avoid damaging anything if the sub goes out. Replace the sub and you should be good to...- mpsjr

1st Gen Gotts Mod. Trial and Error.
If you have a local exhaust shop, go and ask for a drop piece of 3" pipe that's about 4"-6" long (probably free). You can use the 3" coupler and tighten it down onto the exhaust pipe and cram it over the end of the filter housing. That's how I did mine and I didn't have to worry about sanding...- mpsjr

Rear Wiper
The rear wipers are notorious for going bad, but no, there's no battery back there. I would suggest turning on your rear wiper while the key is in the "on" position, then grabbing the rear wiper arm and (gently) moving it up and down to see if it starts working. Aftermarket Nav/Stereo Upgrade Suggestions
Take a look at the Pioneer AVIC-Z140BT. It has in-dash Nav, DVD and smart phone connectivity, and you can use your steering wheel controls with the proper adapter. It was replaced by the AVIC-Z150BH (*coughs - $1,500*), but you can still get the Z140BT on Amazon new for around $650.- mpsjr

Thinking of picking this up...thoughts?
The interior was toast. Exterior was in good shape, but it looked like someone had turned 20 kids loose on the inside with orange soda, scissors and a pack of sharpies. Someone had actually painted the lighter sections in the middle seats to hide the stains. No kidding; they literally spray...- mpsjr

Thanks, I asked him about that earlier, and he told me he would pull the carfax report for me, if I wanted it. I'd certainly want to see it first, before buying just to be sure there weren't any hidden issues.- mpsjr
