    Help with low power

I agree. I ended up laying under the car with my feet towards the rear to be able to get my fingers on it. But it runs great now so I guess it was worth it.

Days like a several 8 hrs each. Having an over the top creaper made the job easier. It's not easy getting access to the timing cover area from the top or bottom.

    Help with low power

The work took a few days. You need a good selection sockets, extensions, and wrenches to get to all of the bolts. And a small torque wrench. Some of the bolts only take 7 ft-lbs. I've worked on motors before but this is all fairly simple wrenching if you take it step by step. Keep everything...

    Help with low power

Both Banks were still in time. I believe the phasers weren't advancing due to lack of oil pressure because of the blown tensioners. The chains had some wear but would have lasted much longer. I replaced them and everything else under the timing cover because I never want to take it off again.

    Help with low power

I only had one failed rocker. Some others felt loose but we're still working. I got a set of off brand tools from eBay much quicker than Amazon could deliver. Help with low power

Problem solved. I installed a full timing set, minus phasers, along with a melling m340hv oil pump and all rockers and valve lash adjusters and I'm back to full power. Not an easy job but fordtechmakuloco's videos explained everything very well.

I changed the engine oil and manually cleaned the fuel injectors yesterday and that didn't help my issue. But when I emptied my catch pan today I found alot of fine metal shavings and some...

    Help with low power

My scan tool shows the system switching from "CL" during normal driving to OL-DRIVE" if the pedal is pushed past about half throttle. I assume this is open and closed loop but shouldn't it stay in closed loop once warmed up?

    Help with low power

Hello all. 2010 Navigator 5.4 3v with 186,000 miles. I recently noticed a significant decrease in power between about 1800 and 3000 rpms. The power picks up above that. It surged very bad when it started but is much smoother now after what's listed below, but still no power in that rpm range...
