ah thats the part I was missing. truck is off so they are locked due to no vacuum.
I'll test again with truck running.
Still no idea what that noise is when rolling ahead
2009 Expy Max Limited 4WD
Question 1: when things are working properly and the truck is in 2WD and I jacked up the front and spin a wheel should the axle spin at all or in the intention of the hub actuator to completely release the axle from spinning at all? If so is it normal that both...
thanks guys. I bought the new transmission (and motor assembly). Good tip on the clips also as I broke every one of those damn things.
One tip I found on a youtube video was to remove the hood shocks and stand the hood straight up or carefully lay it back on the windshield. This allows...
Guys,
Anyone have any experience with failures in the front wiper transmission?
My passenger wiper isn't moving. 09 LTD MAX
The linkage (silver) coming from the motor is still moving. but the wiper isn't moving and I can move the wiper freely through the motion by hand without issue...
Guys,
Just realized I have a cracked in the outside boot on rear passenger side axle. Grease has made its way out onto surrounding parts is what made me notice it.
Not sure how long it has been this way.
I'm heading out on a 1000 mile return trip in two days.
Should I be...
Any replace the rear center brake line? My parking brake cable that lays over the steel line on top f the frame on passenger side chaffed a whole in the steel line :(
Attached pic of the line I need to replace (#2267 in picture). Unscrew both sides and I'm hoping it pops out of the holding...

This was different. it was in the front end.
Guys,
This morning with truck in 4 high I noticed a grinding when pulling away from a corner but only at full turn wheel stop (or very close to full turn). No noise in 2wd setting.
Anyone been there with this before?
Thanks
09 LTD MAX 4WD

Come to find out one of my shocks was completely toast and we could not tell until I dissembled...
The stock muffler on my 09 Max LTD has a crack at the seam along the passenger side.
Not sure if there is any product out there to fill that seam crack? or how long that would last.
If not I was wondering what DIY options are out there for replacing the muffler. My tailpipe is solid so...
Forgot to close the loop on this. Ordered Bilstein shocks and swapped them into the OEM coil strut assembly (buy a decent coil spring compressor as these coils are freakin strong) and the truck rides and handles like new (well pretty close, hard to compare to the air suspension in terms of ride...
