Questions about my expedition

I've got an 03 expedition xlt 4WD, I was wondering if someone can tell me what the switch inside my glove box goes to, it's a small on/off switch, I've heard rumors about it possibly being for trac lock, but I'm also wondering if it could be an airbag bypass switch. If anyone knows anything...
