    P2195 after catalytic converter install…

When all is well, the #1 sensors are constantly going back and forth from rich to lean based on the PCM varying the injector pulse width. The PCM added more fuel (a lot more) and did not see the O2 sensor respond. That means a lot of air is getting to the sensor (or it's bad, wiring...

    P2195 after catalytic converter install…

Going from memory, the wheel well liner has to be removed to get access. Can you get a visual on the sensor as is? I suppose it’s possible to get a bad sensor out of the box, maybe it’s an installation issue. I remember making the connection was much harder than disconnecting it, but the...

    P2195 after catalytic converter install…

I replaced my passenger side exhaust manifold going on 2 years ago and took the opportunity to replace both #1 O2 sensors. The passenger side sensor is the most difficult to replace and get the connector on and off. I’d check that if you can—connector integrity first. Mine is an ‘06 5.4 3V...

Intermittent vibration at 70-75 MPH? - SOLVED!

Nice work and thanks for sharing! I didn’t know until a few days ago our front driveshafts are spinning in 2H. I don’t like it…. My Bronco’s front driveshaft hasn’t rotated in years…the way it should be.

Intermittent vibration at 70-75 MPH? - SOLVED!

I attached a page from the 06 Ford service manual that’s the closest to what’s being discussed, I think. I’m learning a lot from the transfer case discussions.

AC not blowing cold, stuck hot

I suppose start with putting gauges on the high and low side and see if the readings are reasonable. I don't have my Ford service manual in front of me but acpro on the web says for an 80F day 40-50psi on the low side and 175-210 on the high side. We'll assume you've got good airflow over the...

What adapter/scanner/software are you using or would use for calibration?

Question? I jacked up rear put it in neutral engine not running

I was thinking the Park pawl too. I’m not sure how it’s actuated in 4R70/75 but it seems a possible culprit. (I’m a C6 guy). In Neutral the transmission output shaft should be free to turn. With the engine off and no transmission fluid pressure there shouldn’t be a possibility of the wrong...

Question? I jacked up rear put it in neutral engine not running

I suggest disconnecting the driveshaft from the differential and rotate wheels like you are doing. That will isolate the differential. It’s hard for me to believe the differential came unglued inside but it needs to be ruled out…or maybe not.

    Not so Good Vibrations

You've done a great job helping out the community of us 4WD Expedition owners. I'd do exactly what you're doing to get it back on the road soonest. And you retained the original versus sending it in as a core, as I'm a believer whatever is on my vehicle is probably in better shape than...

    Not so Good Vibrations

“The shift motor sense plate, an integral part of the gearmotor encoder assembly, informs the 4WD control module of the transfer case position.” But it’s not broken out in the attachments. “The electric shift motor is mounted externally to the gearmotor encoder assembly at the rear of the...

    Not so Good Vibrations

Yes, there’s a position sensor that provides input to the 4WD module. I’ll get something from the shop manual and post. Very nice write up.

    Are we NO for ignition?

I watched that FordTechMakuloco video before doing my manifold job and thought it may be possible without lifting the engine; however, after removing the splash shield I didn't see a way to get to 3 or so of the lower manifold nuts/studs. Also, I don't know how much difference there is in the...

    Are we NO for ignition?

Awesome! I don't normally monitor the upstream O2 sensors since they're always switching lean to rich. I've added alternator load monitoring, engine oil temp/EOT, trans temp, coolant temp/ECT, transmission gear selected, ignition timing (that's due to my former 2011 CR-V which had a factory...
