Oil cooler
Typically, on these engines, when the oil and coolant are mixing (and you're sure you don't have a cracked head), then it's usually the gasket between the oil filter housing and the block. Short answer is it's not easy. You basically have to unplug the port from the factory wiring, then install a separate, key activated circuit and connect it to the port. I had this same issue with my 99 when I was trying to install a dash cam. I ended up just buying an install kit for the dash...- tekrsq

Light Sensor Amplifier
Does anybody know how to test the light sensor amplifier...and actually the light sensor itself also, on my 99 EB ? I'm still trying to get my auto headlight feature to work, and I have narrowed down the issue to those 2 things, but I can't figure out how to test them.. Apparently neither are...- tekrsq

99 EB 5.4 intermittent shut down issues
I thought I updated this thread as SOLVED. I ended up finding a new PCM diode and PCM relay and replaced them both. I have not had the issue since replacing them.- tekrsq

No crank, no start, 99 EB 5.4
Is your odometer reading normal, or ---------------- ? My 99 EB was doing the exact same thing, and the odometer had the dashes. Tried a TON of things, but it ended up being either the PCM relay, or the PCM fuse. I don't know which one because I replaced them both at the same time. I forget...- tekrsq

99 Mach stereo subwoofer is 4 ohm
I saw that, but wasn't looking to go that deep....if I didn't have to. All I needed was the sub. I pulled the CD changer and switched out the head unit almost 10 yrs ago.- tekrsq

Not wanting it to be a head gasket
Plugs and COP's will cause a misfire, but so will bad injectors. They're electrical devices too, and can fail, not to mention the normal carbon buildup. The plugs and COP's have about 15,000 miles on them. I've ran injector cleaner through it multiple times over the years, but apparently...- tekrsq

Radiator Replacement Question
Ok, here's the deal. My engine was just replace with a new 5.4 reman. It's having little "Mickey Mouse" issues with it that are getting tweaked. The one that bothers me though, it runs 200-205+ F at highway speeds, on a 85-90 degree day. My old engine ran 193-200 all day.....rarely over 200...- tekrsq
