Questions and advice in purchase of Expedition

we have a 2010 EL with 2nd row captains chairs. makes it nice since the kids car seats are in the captains chairs, but adults can still fairly easily get back into the rear seat. I am SO happy we went with the EL, we can have the 3rd row up and still have a really truly usable rear storage area.

    Expedition EL or Suburban?

We cross shopped both. Looked at a Burb LTZ and Expy EL Limited. Bought the Limited. Interior, handling, and 3rd row power fold flat seats sealed the deal. You have to drive both, internet arguing will only get you so far.

Opinions needed - Hawk LTS and Centric

Thanks for the feedback, I have some familiarity with the Hawk pads but on a car, not a truck.

Opinions needed - Hawk LTS and Centric

My 2010 EL needs new brakes soon. 70k miles. I'm looking at the Hawk LTS and Centric rotors. Anyone used this combination?

    Another dreaded Oil question.

M1 is $25 for 5 qt jug. So $75 for 15 qts (enough for two oil changes). Walmart price. PU is $26 for a 5qt jug, and is supposedly a better oil, the BITOG guys seem to love it. May be a little harder to find. In my turbo cars, I ran the M1 and kept the OCI to 3000 miles. My plan for the...

    Another dreaded Oil question.

I had been using Mobil1 5W30 in a couple of boosted vehicles that were notoriously bad on oil. One was a Mazda CX7 sludge monster that was turbo and DI (fuel contamination issue). The Mobil1 was great, and when the CX7 needed some warranty work for their faulty VVT actuator (which would...

I Want My 2005 Expedition Back!

I understand you are very frustrated, but many of these sound like serious issues that should be taken to the dealer. I have no issues with my 2010 Limited EL accelerating. My fuel econ stinks, but it is driven hard in almost exclusive stop and go traff6 speed. Our AC seats work, etc., etc...

Integrating Tilt Sensor to Factory Perimeter Alarm

Thanks, that's my thought as well. As long as there is a switch that is the same polarity that it is looking for I should be good to go. I believe that the door, hood, liftgate pins are all (-) polarity, but a relay or inverter isn't that big of a deal to wire up to correct it. A few weeks...

Integrating Tilt Sensor to Factory Perimeter Alarm

Has anyone integrated an aftermarket tilt sensor to the Ford Factory Perimeter Alarm? Have a 2010 Expedition EL Limited, wanted to upgrade the factory alarm system, but didn't want to go full on aftermarket (like Viper) and start to have issues with the factory remote start, drive side key pad...
