Has anyone integrated an aftermarket tilt sensor to the Ford Factory Perimeter Alarm? Have a 2010 Expedition EL Limited, wanted to upgrade the factory alarm system, but didn't want to go full on aftermarket (like Viper) and start to have issues with the factory remote start, drive side key pad, factory RKE.

I've done a little research into this, it looks like I can wire into constant power, accessory power (ignition on), and then either the hood or liftgate pin-switch to trigger, but would like to see if anyone had already one this. Looking at the DEI 507M.

Thanks!

If the factory system looks for sheer power form multiple sensors whether it's via a ground or +12v, and the tilt sensor puts out either one, then there's no reason it wouldn't work, you'd just have to find the wire to tap into. Also, if the factory system is set off by a ground, and the tilt sensor puts out +12v, then you'll just have to wire in a relay that supplies ground to the factory sensor wire when the coil is energized by the tilt sensor.

Thanks, that's my thought as well. As long as there is a switch that is the same polarity that it is looking for I should be good to go. I believe that the door, hood, liftgate pins are all (-) polarity, but a relay or inverter isn't that big of a deal to wire up to correct it. A few weeks out on this project, I'll try and include some pictures when I finish it. Thanks for the sanity check / sounding board!
