Actually, STX is supposed to be retail-only, so the XLs you have found must not be STXs. That said, I purchased my XL Max SSV from a dealer, brand new.
I wouldn't say there is NO hope, but your timeline does seem awfully tight. My SSV was built on January 8th 2024 and made it to Marshall Ford in Carrolton, KY (barely an hour's drive!) on January 30th or so. I am assuming it didn't have to go through a distribution center, but I am not sure.
There isn't one. Let me rephrase that: there is one of the kind you're thinking of whereby it can be replaced as a maintenance component. The filter is integrated with the in-tank fuel pump and is considered a "lifetime" component, at least the lifetime of the fuel pump, if not of the whole vehicle.
