I bought my 2019 new and now have 80,000 miles on it. The only repairs I've had are a blown speaker within the first few weeks, and a leaking rear A/C in the rear this year. It did recently get the rattle on start up, but my understanding is that may be annoying, but not fatal. If that's true...
You can update the maps without updating Sync. You can either buy a preloaded flash drive from Ford or download it on to your own drive. It's picky about which drive you use and takes a long time. I've gotten two free updates. syncmyride.com
Does it only happen after you've opened the rear window? If so it might just be re-engaging since opening the window disconnects the wiper from the motor.
I have 22's and thought the original Hankooks we're passable when new. At 35k they're a bit more than half gone so I worried about them in the snow. I just put on Conti Terrain Contact and they are great, much better in the snow.
I got by just fine with the OEM Hankooks when they were pretty new. Now with 33k on them they still have plenty of tread but think they wouldn't be great in snow. So I just put on Conti TerrainContact H/T. I think they'll be much better.
