im sure this has been asked before but i havent found the answer yet so im posting for help.......my 05 4x4 limited expedition has a bad rear cv axle and i cannot find which axle i have. my axle code is H6 which i know is a 3.73 LS gear but do i have the 8.8 or the 9.75 diff?
once i know this...
for future reference according to my dial calipers the front bar is 1.325 inches which works out to 33mm and rear bar is .590 inches which works out to 15mm........i assume this would hold the same for 2wd versions as well
not to take a dump in your cheerios but get rid of those junk filters, i wouldnt trust them for my lawnmower much less any of my vehicles. i have run into this same issue with the parts monkey at autozone once when i did an oil change on moms G6 gave me a filter that was way too small of threads...
i might have to take my lazy ass out under the truck with my dial calipers to see for sure, just figured some of you gear heads might have had a sticky somewhere on this issue or something the sort. regardless im sure no matter which set i go with the improvement will be quite nice
tire rack has eibach's in stock and on sale.....240ish i think for the set but their front bar is thinner than the hellwig bar so im not sure which route im going to go yet.......what are the stock sizes for the 05's anyway?

i have come to the point after replacing both my springs and shocks that my handling still isnt what i would like, i know its not a sports car like my other cars but i need to get rid of some body roll so who makes thicker sway bars for the 2005 4wd expeditions besides hellwig and eibach. wish i...

i was wondering if anyone has the problem with the exterior temp gauge showing the wrong temp, im not talking a few degrees here im talking about the truck reads 20 when its 40-45 degrees out. im assuming this readout is put out by the IAT (intake air temp) sensor and if so wouldnt this also...
well ill wait for whoever answers my pm and see what they have to say i just never seen a factory 4wd vehicle spec out 2wd springs for the front, just weird
about to put some michelin ltx ms/2 on next week when i do my spring and shock replacements i have the standard ltx on my f-350 and love them so i figure i cant go wrong with them on the suv
thats who i talked to today and ordered my springs from based on what i have read from here before i signed up so im guessing they would know a lot better than myself what this thing actually needs for replacement parts but its just weird and even the parts guy there i talked to via the phone...
