i was wondering if anyone has the problem with the exterior temp gauge showing the wrong temp, im not talking a few degrees here im talking about the truck reads 20 when its 40-45 degrees out. im assuming this readout is put out by the IAT (intake air temp) sensor and if so wouldnt this also tell the fuel delivery to run richer since its "colder" outside and cause bad mileage or am i just worrying too much

The sensor for the gauge is acuatlly mounted on the front of your engine bay near where the hood latches. It does not work with your IAT.

so in that case im assuming that this faulty reading wouldnt affect the temp that the ECM is "seeing" and in turn affecting fuel delivery and or rich or lean aspect based on exterior temps?
