    Vibration While Accelerating

I was going to suggest checking the rear differential and adding a bottle of Motorcraft Friction Modifier to the rear diff. I had a similar problem and was surprised that the problem was coming from the rear limited slip differential. Easy job to do yourself, but if you do, wear gloves. the...

Can't figure out!!! Still Baffled by growl when first moving forward

Problem seems solved by adding the Motorcraft Friction Modifier additive to the rear axle. After describing everything I had replace and troubleshooted, he told me it was probably the limited slip rear differential was not working the way it should. Adding a $15 bottle of the additive to the...

Can't figure out!!! Still Baffled by growl when first moving forward

Update Checked the transmission fluid when cool and will check when warm as recommended. The fluid was up to the top and almost running out of the dipstick hole, so think it is full. Showing overfilled on the dipstick, but again, checked when cool. Transmission seems to shift well in all...

Can't figure out!!! Still Baffled by growl when first moving forward

Ok, here is what I suspected and fixes applied so far. Suspected a bad IWE and/or hoses. Replaced both IWEs and all hoses and check valves to IWEs all the way to the solenoid. Solenoid checked out per TSB guidelines. After replacing the hoses and check valves, the vacuum levels at all...

Front 4wd seems to want to engage during early driving.

Also looked up TSB 22-2219 which basically takes vacuum away from the IWEs and leaves them engaged. Had that came up first, would have saved me a lot of time and possible money for parts.

Front 4wd seems to want to engage during early driving.

Problem solved after I replaced both wheel hub assemblies. Still a little noise when turning, but think it is just tires scooting a little. Deep tread and new tires. Along the way, did find and repair several other defective parts. Figured the parts needing replaced were probably worn due to...

Front 4wd seems to want to engage during early driving.

UPDATE All parts are Ford OEM. Replaced vaccum lines from solenoid down to both wheels with Ford Part FL1Z-7A785-A 1x Here are the tests I ran: Note that all tests started with 20 pounds of vacuum. 1. Passenger side IWE cycled fine( engaged and released with CV axle turning or disengaged...

Front 4wd seems to want to engage during early driving.

Wheel bearings are good. Noise is almost always when turning when I first start up. Only 93,000 miles on it and checked bearings when I replaced the IWEs on both sides.

Front 4wd seems to want to engage during early driving.

My 2016 Expedition 4wd seems to want to engage and 'growl' when first driving and turning. Sound mostly on the front drivers side, but have not had someone listen on the passenger side. I have replaced both IWEs and vacuum solenoid and hoses. Checked the vacuum on both IWEs per the Technical...

John Thanks for the info. Mine finally reset per the info you noted. They did not do so for several times, thus the original request. Once reset, they went right in. Thanks again!!

Any way to reset blend door actuators on 2016 Expedition?

Found I had a defective blend door actuator on the rear side of the AC. Plugged new one in and it cycled, but now will not line up to fit into the blend door. I think It may need to be reset back to factory center to install. Is there a procedure to reset this part? Saw a reset video on AC...
