I recently helped my dad buy a 1998 Navigator (same as Expedition) which came with bucket seats for the second row and am trying to make a conversion to a 60/40 bench setup. As evidenced by this thread https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/bucket-bench-seat-swap-2nd-middle-row.32287/ it is not a very easy job. I have my bench seat and a plan to get it installed, but there is no latch on the floor of the Navi for the back of the 60 section of the bench. I am planning on putting a square u bolt in there for a latch, but I am unsure of the dimensions. Does anyone know the thickness, length, and width of the latch?
