Has anyone swapped the 6r180 into the first gen? Would it even be possible? I know there would have to be a separate time controller, but is it feasible?

I have heard of a 6R80 but I personally don’t consider that an upgrade to a 4R70. Way more problems with the 6R80. I don’t know of a 6R180.

I've seen posts where people have done it so it's possible, but it seems like a fairly involved project.

The 4R70 is cheaper/easier to fix, but the 6R80 is generally considered to be more robust. I have 224k on my 6R80.

I like the fuel economy you can get out of it but not sure if they would fit in the tunnel of the 1st gen
