I had my lead frame replaced in April of last year. I had a transmission leak after. They found the gasket torn they had put in so they replaced it for free in June. About a month ago I started having issues again with the lead frame. They are now telling me a leak has damaged the main control connector its contaminated with transmission fluid and appears to be leaking through the sleeve.
Would this be totally unrelated to what happened before?
Im a woman and feel like they have taken advantage of me. I e spent about 15,000 on this expedition there in the last 2 years and could have had a new one by now. This is another 1300.00 to fix.

The 6R80's are well known for leaking fluid at the sleeve. It happens to almost every 6R80 transmission.

When they replaced the lead frame, they should've done it while they were in there.
In fact, in order to replace the lead frame, you have to remove the sleeve before you drop the frame.....they most likely reinstalled the same sleeve and disturbed the O-ring seals.... causing it to leak.

The new lead frame shouldn't have failed this soon....and they should've replaced the sleeve while they were in there, they would've had to remove it anyways.

I'm not sure how the fluid damaged the connector, it is not conductive, I agree with S20, they should have fixed that with the lead frame, you might want to get a second opinion.
