How to stop data collection on the new Expeditions?

I won't be purchasing BlueCruise, and the DOT/NHTSA stuff seems to be a year or more away. With GM selling OnStar data, I want to make sure I am not enabling Ford to do the same. How do I ensure my Expedition won't track me and every move I make, how I made it, when I made it, or how I did it?

In your touchscreen, go to settings, connectivity, connected vehicle features, and turn off all the data sharing options. I can't find any pics of an Expo screen on Google, but looks something like this.

Not sure what you mean about notifications, but from my understanding, this stops sending the driver data to the cloud but keeps the modem working for the Ford app to work, OTA updates, and other connected features to continue to function. If you want the vehicle to be completely excommunicado from the server, you'd need to unplug the TCU.

Your being watched 24/7 no matter where/what/when you do something......no use unplugging or disabling.....

If you have a phone..... The mothership knows who and where you are every where that you take it.

I am all about limiting information and perhaps throwing a few curve balls in there.

Anyone have knowledge if there will be an aftermarket version of Bluecruise? Look like there is market for such things, and where there is a market.....

The Comma AI device kicks Bluecruise's butt up and down the street. However, Ford added TRON encryption to the newer models, so it no longer works on most newer vehicles. In the case of the Expo, it can only be added to the 2022-2024 model years.
