Well, I ordered a 2021 back in August, and it got a mid-November build date, meaning it would never arrive in time for my cross-country end-of-year vacation. So I ordered a 2022 additionally, and let the dealer know I'd probably not take the 2021.
Sure enough, a week and a half into my...
I ordered the Platinum, so I don't have an option for the smaller screen. However… I have a Mach E, and am totally on board with the big screen. It's fantastic, and the only downsides are the lack of buttons for certain features.
Compared to previous Sync versions, the screen is quick and...
Typically these would be non-salable, pre-production (PP) units, especially given that scheduling hasn't started. Nothing that goes to a paying customer is ever produced unscheduled. OKTB is decided with MP1 units.
I had a 2019 Max, and have a 2004 from when there was no Max/EL. Wished I’d had the Max on a 2019 cross-country road trip with an emphasis on camping with the 2029. Just fine on a current cross-country non-camping trip with the ‘04.
Have the ocasional need for three rows plus storage, though...
Sorry, yeah, I missed the note: "Note: The Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package (536) is not available on MAX 4x4 (K1J)"; that's an oddly specific exclusion.
I'm not sure the last time I blew a fuse on a circuit I wasn't plugging my own stuff into.
I'm happy to have the 15", based on my Mach E. Yup, I miss my buttons for certain things, but it's, huge, and works well. I hope that the digital cluster will draw an analogue speedometer for me, though...
That's odd... according to the order guide, 536 should be available as an option on every configuration. Is there a possibility that your dealer is mistaken?
That's interesting. I'd always assumed that the Navi was just an uptuned Expedition. You're saying that the Timberline (etc.) will have a physically different engine, and not just an uptune?
As for BlueCruise, the order guide already says what options are available on which trim, without the...
dlcorbett, thanks! I've been trying to find a published source for weeks now.
According to the order guide, there's no upgrade path to the Copilot 360 Active, which is a Platinum exclusive feature ("Active" is BlueCruise). And per the above, no highest-output on the Platinum is available.
So...
Do you have a link to an actual Ford source, though? The order guide only says "n/a," and every other reference I've seen is from news articles where they say the Timberline and Stealth Performance will have it, but don't actually mention the Platinum.
There's no configurable option for the Platinum. If will either have the high output, or not. The current order guide has N/A for all three engine horsepower options right now, though. (Platinum, sub-Platinum, and Stealth/Timberline).
You mean the online configurator? Because a dealer can order...
I had a 2019 Platinum (SWB) as a company car for a while, and I absolutely loved it. I ordered a 2021 Limited Max, but the upgrades on the 2022 Platinum made me order one of those (the dealer is happy to keep the 2021). Like the OP, I plan to keep it for 10 to 20 years (I'm replacing my...
