    Black Sooty exhaust pipe

Altitude is also a factor. Cars tend to run richer in higher elevations. Less air going into the cylinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Black Sooty exhaust pipe

That’s unburnt fuel. When you floor it, to keep exhaust temps down, most engines will dump fuel to run rich. If you are ever behind someone who floors it to pass, you’ll likely see a small puff of black when they do it. Not much you can do other than adjusting your driving habits. Sent...

4th Gen FX4 vs. Heavy Duty Tow

Why do you need skid plates and Off road tuned shocks (which rather terrible in My FX4 equipped F150)? I think the answer is pretty straight forward.

    LED Light bar

I would suggest that it would only matter when towing 9200lbs in Death Valley at 120 F at 2pm. I doubt the cooling capacity is used running around town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Surging idle & stall at lights with (seemingly phantom) no oil pressure warning

Interesting. I have 2010 F150 and since I changed the battery I’ve been experiencing the high idle and stalling after a bit on the highway. Very much like what is described in the OP. The oil light is due to the stall, nothing to do with pressure or oil levels. All engines will have the same...

    8 weeks to order

So, I finally got a VIN. Guess I picked a dealer with almost no allocations. Build week is July 16. Ugh.

    650 hp from a 3.5L

The other reason Ford can’t call it the GT40 is because someone else owns the trademark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safir_Engineering

    4 month lead time?

I've seen 2 black ones and a white one in my travels. I've been jealous each time.

    LED Puddle Lights?

It isn’t just the reverse light. I think the front turn signal is also halogen.

    Difference 600A vs. 600B

Expys in Canada are 600A. They do not include the cargo package. My guess is 600B includes the cargo package. We have to pay $400 for it.

    4 month lead time?

I ordered mid feb and I’m still waiting for a VIN.

Who did you order with? I ordered with Metro. Canadian seem to be getting the shaft on allocations.

    Disabling auto start/stop

The issue isn’t wear and tear on the starter and motor. It’s the battery(ies). My E63 wagon had the primary and secondary batteries shit the bed after 3.5 years. Luckily covered under warrranty. My wife drives it mostly and never turns off the stop start.

    Ordering Max

Second printing didn’t have it as far as I can tell. https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/owner-manuals-search-results.html?make=Ford&model=Expedition&year=2018

    Ordering a 2018, will 285/70r17s fit?

I’m in the same situation. Looked at the brake parts, and they are same as my 2010 F150. I’d expect my F150 take offs that I use for winter with 265/75/17 will also fit the Expedition I have ordered. My F150 has 20s as stock.

    8 weeks to order

I was thinking of just getting a Navigator for the extra $10K, but that is a 12 month wait. Canadian dealers only get a certain amount of allocations unlike the US dealers. I am used to waiting. The last car I ordered, a 2014 MB E63 Wagon and that was a 15 month wait as I put in my order...
