When I bought Ford had me sign not one but 2 stand alone warnings and warranty disclosures no cables or chains to be used damage not covered.
So start there.
I do Tahoe also and have a bag of z-cables they will never leave the bag.
Tires!!! The OEM tires are horrific on snow and ice nearly as...
Skip Pirelli they wear fast.
New tire as of September 2021 BFG Trail Terrain. Its a highway A/T hybrid 3 peak rated tire. Hands down the best tire I have had on my SUVs so far.
BFG and Michelin are out of the same design shop. Michelin tend to be more popular in the super cold states with...
Definitely a 20ish mile hybrid EV range option. When my wife is traveling I run her Fusion Energi for most of my local trips cuts my gas consumption to near zero. If my current Expedition had that I’d probably visit the gas station once every 4-5 weeks in typical daily use.
Get a smaller trailer. Besides so crowded now days the smaller you go the higher chance you’ll find a place to stay. Not to mention lower fuel burn and better range err lower pump cost
Same the stock tires were terrible on the wet. They would break loose easily under near ideal conditions and were terrible in less than ideal conditions. The BFG Trail Terrains are better in the wet than the OEM were on the dry.
I was convinced I would end up going to 20’s. But currently still on 22’s and now with decent tires. I like them. The 22’s are definitely not rock crawling or sand dune wheels. But everything else they are decent.
Very typical of Pirelli I have “never” had a set that matched other top brands regarding mileage. After my last oh I’ll try them again experience I won’t own that brand ever again.
Like Michelin they target softer rubber compounds which can be ok for some applications but heavy vehicles and...
Just dumped the oem Hankooks lol.
Brand new BFG trail Terrain tire. Basically an updated Advantage Pro t/a which has been a good hybrid tire but lacked siping for good snow performance.
Only have about 18 miles on them but so far ride quality and noise seem to be about the same as the oem...
Just put 285/45/22’s BFG Trail Terrains t/a on today. Brand new tire came out in September. It’s basically an updated version of the Advantage pro t/a which has been a great tire except it lacked good snow performance. They added some more side wall lugg and fixed the lack of siping.
3peak...
Just put on the new BFG Trail Terrain. Brand new tire thats targeting the SUV user that wants highway performance but needs good snow and shoulder durability.
3 Peak rated.
Stock 22 size
I have about 12 miles of 60-75mph on the highway no sound difference that I could tell. At low speeds they...
I’ve done that with past cars. Just like this plug and play idea. Granted the plug is stashed. Anyone know whats under that black driver assist window module cover? Guessing wiper sensors and collision stuff?
Anyone use one of these dongles to pull power from the rear view mirror?
Seems Ford uses their own random plug / pin patterns. Any success? Quick edit. Hmm my platinum doesn’t have an obvious plug in the back of the mirror, guessing it runs up under the driver assist box/sensors just above the...
Got mine this week in the mail. Dealer had me in and out 30 minutes. Only 19,600 on my 2019 bought new in September 2018. No loud Phasers but still low miles. Zero issues otherwise. Got a Ford warranty for 6yrs 125,000 when I bought it so not a concern on my part. The mailer did list Ford...
So ride quality and handling like Crownvic isn’t trucky enough. I got the HD version so I at least have the truck stuff. But long trips its nice not having the old truck ride and handling qualities
Didn’t see any glue spots but wasn’t looking that close lol. Probably will need to do it again in 20k. Got 20,000 miles on em before the first cup holder failure
Just experienced this. The bottom of the holder is held in place by a rubber band that wraps around the retractable cup holder arms in the cup space. The center console lifts up via snap fittings. I had to take the cup holder door cover on the backside (4 screws) to get to one side of the cup...
Yeah I have no rattling as of yet and zero shifting issues. Gotz no issues I’d like it to stay that way. I have the recall notification also. I’ll happily wait till this shakes out some.
Yup not sure what all the hype is about regarding a locker button. I have the Heavy tow pack 3.73 with push button rear locker. I do recall Ford adding a 3rd axle option 3.73 only lower cost no elocker. Ford realized that the Expedition pricing was too high for many given the few Limiteds with a...
I know the Rover guys on big wheels typically don’t air down then again most of them are packed full of stuff which case they sink either way but at least they don’t pinch a tire lol.
I have thought about this my self I have stock 22’s. The stock tires are junk regarding durability they are...
100lbs of umm junk stuffed in a 2lb sack lol. Guessing he might be a former fuel delivery truck operator who thinks 60,000lbs behind a tractor is the same as a 37ft p-o-s behind a light duty Expedition lol
I found the bikes on the lid no trailer are just a big of a hit on mileage as a tall trailer no bikes. Together? I haven’t tried it. Could be same or 2x as bad? Curious what you see.
Same and yeah the exaggerated road undulating factor on trailers tend to shake everything off the back of the trailer typically shredding the back of the ***** trailer dropping whatever is hung back there on the highway.
