Its easy to trigger that center console locker button not knowing its on. I would bet there are quite a few out there with toasted rear ends from being driven on pavement locked up likely owner/operator had zero idea.
New dealer is pumping ford for funds and training their new shop guys on your truck. At this point the original buy back seems like the right call. My 19 has zero issues its hard to even understand how yours can end up with so many bad parts.
Rear hatch floor to hatch plastic trim is 33 inches high. Rear floor at mid floor behind 2nd row bench to head liner is 36. 2nd row down 33 to head liner and 34 to glass roof screen, 36 3/4 to glass roof from folded bench
I can go measure. The rear hatch is smaller regarding opening height if that matters?
I have Platinum so sun roof in play regarding head liner height etc.
The new Explorer is now a rear wheel drive platform like the original the prior generation is actually a front wheel drive platform.
The latest Explorer is rated higher in load capacities than the prior versions. Its a nice machine bit snug on interior space tho. Due to the fold in floor...
Hmm cold temps and getting hung up and breaking or cracking the plastic fender/bumper is crappy..
I know body shops can weld the ABS bumpers now!!! Saved me $1000’s on my Sequoia. Worth a shot calling around.
When I bought my platinum they had many bench seat equipped nearly zero Captains chair ones. Sales guy said the platinum didn’t sell as well as the lower trim likely due to sticker shock. He said most dealers tried to order the bench version to help keep the sticker price down especially on the...
I suspect most of you don’t actually own a current gen Expedition given the bench 2nd row has the same exact outside seats as the Captains chairs lol. Yep the bench seat is just he same with a flip down center section and missing arm rests, same seats. Its funny how stuck on perception people...
As the who hauls kids bucket 2nd row is very limiting especially when a large number of kids these days are car sickness prone and will opt for three across the 2nd row every single time. It also enables road trip space options for 5 with gear which case Captains chairs fail.
Interestingly...
Lol
Hybrid is different than full EV / electric.
My hybrid Plugin Fusion was gassed up once in 13 months thanks to COViD and having a 12-18 mile EV range. I would take a Plugin Hybrid Expedition with that EV range every day over my current dino only burner. Full EV truck? No! Given it would be...
Captains chairs in a suv is just dumb. Especially if your hauling kids on a regular basis. Bench seat all the way or buy a mini van. Small dog is in a crate, big dog is on a bed.
Just watched a Moab Kolab rescue of a Navigator stuck in rotten snow off the beaten path. The Navi didn’t have any front recovery hooks, they had to strap to a front A arm to drag him up a hill and out of the rotten snow. I wonder if the Expedition front recovery hooks can be fitted to the Navi?
The shutters are a known issue on the smaller cars especially in areas with parallel parking. Lots of busted shutter systems due to cars backing into the front of parked cars. With the Expedition and having a better bumper and more space behind the bumper, it could be a fuse or mucked up shutter...
I noticed on my last two cars the 18ft canoe wasn’t much of a hit.
21mpg 6 day trip 65-75mph ish, HD Expedition
Trailer is 900lb empty typically it lands in the 1200-1300lb range. Aerodynamics for sure is mileage factor. I’m watching the Mantis prices and axle problems waiting for more...
I think the 22’s sharpen road feel / to steering feel slightly but ride quality is still pretty smooth. I have 22’s on the ccd Platinum. The Navi might be tuned slightly different but It seemed very close to the Platinum I bought.
I thought I would swap to 20’s but so far the 22’s have been...
