Whatever you do, DO NOT rip the vapor barrier or you will get water leaking into the vehicle. If you slowly/carefully peel it away from the adhesive, it will re-stick to it when you put it back on.
Basic ones are monotone paint and interior. Limited will have most features standard that are optional on the EB, except Rear seat entertainment, NAV, and the likes.
I agree that the new smaller cars have better technology than the much more expensive Expeditions. The problem may lie with the low volume of vehicles sold, and the cost of manufacturing them/tooling the lines.
The master cylinder seals probably went bad due to age. Mileage would have nothing to do with it. Actually, the more you drive it and cycle the piston in the MC, the better of you are as the seals actually get lubricated when used. With low mileage, they can go bad faster. Reporting this...
What you have listed for preventative maintenance is a good list to have done. Check your brakes and make sure your trailer connections are working properly and the electric brake hookup is good.
How many miles on it? Have plugs been changed? At that weight you should have no problem...
I assume since he is in Canada, its $80K canadian. But to the leather issue, yes.. it's just the front seating surface. Sides are vinyl for better wear and to lessen the cost to the manufacturer. Even BMW does it so it is an industry-wide practice .... however the back seats are leather also.
You have to purchase the trim kit so the stereo looks to fill the cutout in the dash. Otherwise you'll have about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch gap on the sides.
Another good thing about it is that as far as one can tell, it is still stock. Still has stock upper pulley and airbox, which also appear to have been in there a while due to the dust build-up. If those haven't been swapped out, chances are the lower pulley and tune are still stock.
Doesn't...
Common?......the knock can be a fairly common occurrence, but I would still question them just blowing it off. Rattling at idle when warm, not too common that I know of. Have them show you the TSB that references this and what was done to fix it if possible.
Bigger question is whether the...
The whole front end is can be swapped over, but the bumpers on the L have a different pad behind it since it is a one-piece urethane, the dash is basically the same, and the console and seats should bolt up with the correct parts. Engine parts can be swapped over too, but the ECU needs to be...
Weight wise you'll be OK. 750 tongue weight is a bit high, but I was at 850 for a year and didn't know it and it trailered OK. You typically don't want to be over 600 as that is 10% of the loaded trailer max,and the rating on the Expy off the hitch. Usually the higher the tongue weight, the...
Lifted or not, the offset is going to kill the idea. You are basically moving the tire/rim by approximately 3 inches side to side going from a +44 to a -44 mm offset. Tires can work on a correct offset rim as ZombieSoldier initially told you.
Check the tire load rating, and that will tell you what you can tow. I believe you can just multiply the rating by 4, subtract the GVWR of the loaded vehicle, and the remaining is what you can tow safely. Lower profile tires will not tow as much as a 17 or 18 tire with a 70/75 sidewall.
I know there are other more expensive polishes out there, but I always had good luck with the plain 'ol Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. Never Dull is good, as well as a chrome polish you can find at Harley Davidson dealerships. Just make sure to keep up with the cleaning like Freeway said, and a...
Also, if the car is for sale very soon after an accident, it won't show up on Carfax either. It takes a while for the incident to appear on the report. We purchased a 2 yr old BMW with a clean carfax, and a few years later had some body work done to it. It showed an accident about a month...
You are correct the panels are aluminum, but the aluminum typically hasn't been prepped correctly from the factory, and it corrodes (not rusts), causing bubbles under the paint. This is a common Ford problem on trucks and suv's with aluminum hoods and hatches. Many a pic/comment on here...
