Is this Oasis Report Entry Normal?

I'm looking at picking up a 2010 Eddie Bauer Expy and had them pull the OASIS report so I could check it over.

When they gave me the report they crossed out the top entries and said that they were on every 3rd Gen Expy OASIS because it was a common issue? You guys/gals heard of this? Beyond that the OASIS is basically blank, which I assume means it's had no real issues over it's lifetime.

Below is the report, please let me know what you think.

Common?......the knock can be a fairly common occurrence, but I would still question them just blowing it off. Rattling at idle when warm, not too common that I know of. Have them show you the TSB that references this and what was done to fix it if possible.
Bigger question is whether the vehicle still has these issues? Have them show you the service history if they can. Any Ford dealer can pull that up with a VIN search.

I've requested the TSB and Vin sourced service records.

I guess I was hoping someone here with a 2010 would have an OASIS or could pull one and tell me if their report had the same things.

Well, the date listed on the first is obviously cannot be for a 2010 vehicle.
The 2nd could be questioned.

After reviewing a few I have seen posted online they seem to bring up service logs/records following the vehicle info/ ID and not preceeding it.

That said, never had one done myself so just commenting on my observations.

Some 2009-2010 F150 vehicles equipped with a 4.6L 3V or 5.4L 3V engine, Expedition and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a low frequency knocking noise from the engine at hot idle only. The noise is predominately heard from the right front wheel well area and/or the right hand (RH) engine cam cover. This noise may be generated from the RH variable camshaft timing (VCT) phaser assembly. This procedure was created to diagnose the RH VCT phaser assembly.

Sorry, I cannot comment on the impacts or potential seriousness of this issue, just dug it up for you...

I've googled around and that's how I found this forum. I'm a member of a F250 forum so I figured this would be a good place to ask about the commonality of those TSB listings on OASIS reports for the 3rd gen.

I tend to be a DIY guy so I look forward to getting to know the community after we find a suitable Expedition.

If it makes you feel any better that same thing is mentioned on my OASIS report. I noticed the TSB on it is different than the one "Lightnig" posted.

By the way mine is an 08 Limited. Also, what I find strange is I have had the OASIS run a couple of times over the years and that message has only shown up once.

Another good idea is to speak to the service manager at your local dealership. Since they see these vehicles every day, they can speak to any common concerns and put your mind at ease. Let us know if you end up bringing this Expy home!
