sounds like you are in a bind then because your title may not say salvaged but if you were to ever sell it, as soon as you tell them it had any kind of frame damage, sale is over....it wont be cheap to have the frame straightened PROPERLY but at least it will be done right and will be strong.
sounds like it might just be linkage problem for the tranny...your column shifter may be moving but the gears wont move. follow the cable down to the tranny and see if it got disconnected....
i would have totalled the truck out, then bought it back from the insurance company for dirt cheap...just my opinion. bent frames can get expensive to fix.
they do the lift up front and let the rear sag some so when they hit the jumps and what not, the truck kind of levels itself out instead of nosedives. thats why they do that for the desert races.
yeah, my wife flew back for a job interview and her plane got delayed coming home. now she isnt leaving des moines until this afternoon, was supposed to leave at 0630!
try craigslist or a junkyard. you should be able to find them much cheaper than 73 bucks, maybe even ebay. does it go in and out of 4h/4l when you have it on? if so, could be a transfer case issue.
mine is A4WD so i dont have a light come on. your AWD does not engage but your 4h and 4l engage? i know you checked the fuses but did you check all of them? sounds like a bad fuse or relay if your 4h and 4l work but AWD does not.

i dont really have much faith in this "brown wire mod". they guys that have done it say their front tires still spin on the lift...i would love to ditch the A4WD!
i have the rancho 4" on my 01 EB. i think it was around 1200-1500. body lift will be the cheapest way to go for now. any suspension lift is gonna cost you over 1K unless you are going to install it yourself. then you might be able to bargain shop. i had a body lift on my 98 4x4 XLT expy but...
there is a write up on how to change rear diff fluid. and it is pretty much the same thing for the front, just different viscosity fluids. for transfercase, it is like changing your transmission fluid. there should be a port to empty it and another to fill it. if you are in 4L and turning on...
i thought there was another thread that discussed this? we should put up a sticky for stock tires sizes on different generations so it will be easy for everyone to find...
dont forget your alternator! you get in water deep enough to where you need a snorkle, you better hope you waterproofed the rest of your engine bay or you are just gonna be sittin there in a bunch of water with nowhere to go!
