    Fibreglass Fenders

i think they look retarded! our truck just doesnt look that great with them. if i get a chance, there is a guy on my base that has them, i will try to snap a pic or two with my phone. then again, that is just my opinion. i think some vics (like rangers and yotas) look good with fiberglass, not...

well the only thing that i can seem to dig up for roots style is the allen system that uses an eaton sc. i got my email back from whipple and they said that they are just an upgrade to the lightning motor. i am beginning to think that guy is an idiot. if it bolts to the lightning, then it should...

after doing some more reading, there are some guys out there that used the Allen (eaton m-90) kit that makes the engine bay look almost completely stock...cannot see the blower! problem is, only 75hp for almost $4500, with no other engine mods (bigger injectors, headers, etc). not sure i am...

i cannot find an application for my truck, and i am getting pissed off! whipple has said no f150 and no expedition. so now i asked them about the lightning and how it would differ from my application. i have no friggin idea. at the rate i am going, i am probably just going to have to do the damn...

yeah, but that wasnt here in San Diego! it usually hovers in the upper 70's, maybe low 80's, with very little humidity. I was stationed in NC (camp lejeune) and it reminded me of home (Iowa), just with some hurricane weather instead of tornado weather! me personally, I LOVE THE STORMS!!!!

    Lifted 2nd Gen!

yes, you can get a lift kit for them. usually made by FTS, RIZE, or Whiplash. if i had to choose one of them, it would be the RIZE, although the brackets are ugly. the other two, and this is from every forum i have ever been a part of, are garbage and only good for show trucks/street queens...

well the whipple only makes 8psi, that is why i was going that route, so i wouldnt rip the damn engine apart. while i have the manifold off, i want to change the injectors, plugs, and maybe clean up the pistons a little, just to clean some of the gunk up! but i need to make sure this damn thing...

talls, i have not. i have been doing a lot of reading on the whipple due to the twin-screw design and the fact that it is not as loud as some others. I don't mind listening to the whine, in fact it gets my blood pumping. But i do not want it stupid loud either, as the kids will be in there...

so according to a guy at whipple, they do not offer a SC for my year expedition. waiting to hear back about an 01 5.4 f150. im pretty sure they make them for the lightning so i am sure it would fit the expy, maybe need a little modification, if any. thoughts?

i mounted the winch to the winch carrier, supplied by the warn hidden winch mount. then the whole assembly mounts to the frame. then you replace the bumper. if you have tow hooks, you have to remove them first, then you can put them back on after you install the winch.

i meant the swing away carrier, that also mounts to your hitch. this would allow you to get into your hatch. my apologies. as for the winch, i used a warn hidden winch mount. there should be some pics in my gallery.

yeah, i dont have that kind of money, and it really isnt that serious! my wife would kill me! i just want to do what kentv and toms did, make my expy a little quicker, a little more powerful, and just a little sexier! the truck pulls and mud runs are just going to be an annual thing, that is...

tire gate is the only one that i can think of. they offer a hitch-mount so you do not have to replace your bumper.

i agree, that the two sports are going to require a couple different things, but i want to try and build something that will work for both. we should note that this cannot be a million dollar project. my first start is going to be drivetrain. i want to be able to drive this as a daily driver as...

so, wife gave me the green light to build my expy for truck pulls and mud runs. i see people doing the 5.4L swap. This would be great for mud runs, but how well will this swap work for truck pulls? or would i be better off doing a v10 swap. i will be swapping to 38's (eventually 40's when i do...

wow, that really free's up a lot of room! looks good. i will be doing this maybe this winter, or spring. wife gave me permission to build the expy for our "fun days" next year. its a weekend of food, street dances, truck/tractor pulls, and mud runs. I told her i want to build a truck for each...
