here i am! sorry guys, been busy all this month recruiting! yes, panda is correct. i have the hidden winch mount with an 8K winch. i will eventually move the 8K to the rear and put something a little stronger up front like Tony has.
i grew up in michigan so went to silver lake alot. you will need a flag if you plan on driving the dunes at all with the expy. and i am not sure, but i think you have to buy a day pass, cant remember. as for maintenance stuff, there really isnt too much you need to worry about, its sand not mud...
talls, we will be planning a trip to azusa in august. thinking about hitting pismo on friday/saturday, then going to azusa on sunday. i WILL go to azusa beore i leave this state!!!!
i have a similar problem but it doesnt happen all the time. i changed out my idler arm and still have the problem. next is going to be my half shaft on passenger side.
there are lots of aftermarket rim/tire combos out there. places like tire rack and discount tire might be able to help you find what you are looking for. not sure about any that will be close to factory. as for tire, i would just find a good a/t like BF Goodrich, or an ATZ that is good for...
lift seems good to go, will double check. when wiggling tire, the whole center link seemed to have play so could be the steering box. i am really hoping that is NOT the case. due to the "pulsating" feeling coming from the right when it does wobble, i am wondering if the cv joint is failing and...
so would upper balljoints cause the wobbling in the steering? i am pretty sure i need to replace the uppers, lowers look pretty good. pitman arm didnt look bad so i didnt replace. thanks in advance for all the help you have been majik. you too blue, dont think i forgot! hahah
well since this thread doesnt seem to attract a whole lot of help/attention, i will just update myself! replaced idler arm yesterday, still not the problem. running out of ideas. boy, i sure hope somebody reads this and has some input!
thank you majik cuz i am at a loss here...i do have a question though, when people replace their tie rod ends, you dont actually have to replace the ends unless they are damaged right? couldnt you just replace the bushings? they are only 10 bucks!
i have no idea. could be a million things when it comes to f-ing suspension/steering shit! i think i am going to keep my tie rod ends but just change the bushings. but they didnt look like they were bad. when i did the check (wiggle tire at 3 and 9), they didnt seem to give, it was the whole...
so shop suggested idler arm this morning, so i replaced it. pretty easy job as long as you buy the $15 puller! i left the steering stabilizer off and took it for a short test drive. so far nothing but will have to drive longer/further to see if it comes back. after a day or so, i will put the...
nothin eh?!
well i took it to the shop and they suggested idler arm. so i replaced it this morning and left my steering stabilizer off. took it for a short test drive and so far no wobble, but we will see in a day or so, or the next drive over 5 miles! then i will put the stabilizer back on...
so a couple days ago, truck steering wheel started wobbling. this is what i got:
-wobbling comes and goes during driving
-does not appear to be noticeable at highway (55+) speeds
-when wobble occurs, wants to pull to the right, badly
-severity of wobble diminishes with acceleration but is...
so what do you all think about tie rod end being the culprit? i know you mentioned it before blue. is there any way to actually check it to see if it is bad? this is what we have:
steering wheel wobbles. doesnt seem to be as bad while accelerating but noticeable during coasting, sometimes so...
