    that clip shouldnt make any noise while you are just sitting there though. at first i thought maybe worn shock bushing. i had the same problem. but you said it happens when you are just sitting there.

    so...had the tires balanced and rotated...still broke. wierd thing is it is random. while i am driving, it will be normal, then a slight wobble, then really bad wobble. then it might go away for a little bit. then back to wobble wobble...i have no friggin idea.

    im gonna run to the tire shop first thing in the morning and see if they find anything wrong with the tire or rim...then i guess i will have to go from there. this sux, thats all i know!

    my ball joints squeak like hell and probably need replaced, been on for almost 4 years now but not sure that would cause the wobble feeling that varies with speeds...

    thats what i figured about the wheel bearing. no bent rim, havent been offroading in months. tires are only a year old. think i could have busted a belt inside? but then it would do it all the time wouldnt it? this JUST started happening the other day but has gotten worse...

    so idler arm, pitman arm, and tie rod ends all appear/feel solid. no play. i am really thinking it is wheel bearing because just took it for a drive again and the speed of the steering wheel wobble changes with speed. think of how your brake pedal feels when the rotor is warped, how it pulsates...

    blue, i am beginning to wonder if you are on the right track with the pitman arm. any ideas? that thing sounds like a huge pain in the ass to change!

    you can feel it at slow speeds cuz it pulls the steering wheel. my guess is wheel bearing cuz it wobbles faster/slower depending on speed. when i come to a stop, it will pull the wheel with rotation of the wheel, almost like something is warped

    steering assembly has a little play in it but i dont think anything out of the ordinary. not really sure, have nothing to compare it to.

    if that is all it is, i would get the 9.5, hidden winch mount, and some snatch blocks to increase the pulling power of the winch. that is probably your best bet. gonna need a 2nd battery though if you plan on using the winch. she draws a lot of power. run a dual battery setup with a battery...

    its not all the time though. only seems to happen when traveling uphill. there is no grinding or pulling or nothing, so i didnt think it was wheel bearing. and i dont get wobble all the time, so its not steering stabilizer, tires out of balance, and shouldnt be the weights. but i will def check...

    thats a negative soulja. i am stuck here in san diego for the next few months until i get out but my wife and kids are back in iowa. she had to move back for a job, which she quit anyway, and we bought a house. so she and the kids are there until i get out...IN DECEMBER! FML!

    i have an 8k winch and it does ok. i plan on moving that to the rear and putting a 9.5 or larger up front. you can always use snatch blocks as well to almost double the pulling power. just a thought if you dont wanna get a 12k. if you plan on getting into the deep mud where you might be up to...

    so here is the problem. when going up a steep incline today, near the top the steering got really wobbly. wheel bearing going out you think? it went away and it seems to only really affect the ex when going up steep hills...
