Pull the red tab on the coil wire and then make sure to push down on the tab. If you're me then a hot glue gun works to hold the red tab in place after you've broken off the top gray tab I was supposed to have pushed down on. Do the plugs while you're at it.
I bot Motorcraft plugs and boots from Tasca. In the last week however I noticed Rockauto also carries Motorcraft plugs and boots at better prices. Tasca is also slow to ship. Not a big deal if you have time but Rockauto has the items in stock and ships immediately.
$7.53 per boot from Tasca. $6.29 Motorcraft from RockAuto. I just replaced my spark plugs and coil boots - using only Motorcraft. It's just not worth the trouble for me to save $19 with something replaced every 100,000 miles.
Answer is no. I suggest watching Fordtauloco's videos: https://youtu.be/VRDSQCklCHI
If you're going down there and spending the time pumping out the oil...might as well change the filter. Supposed to be done between 100,000-150,000 depending on easy driving or towing...
I watched "The Internets" Youtube video and came away confused. At 15 seconds he says the cooling fans have been running on high however in the comments KCVision asks if replacing the pressure switch solved the problem with fans running on high...to which he replies...he never had the fans...
Check your coolant tank-could be low. My 2016 has a leak at the very common turbo coolant line on the driver's side. When it gets low the loud secondary fan runs all the time.
Thank you for such a snarky response. Yes, I was aware the code said it expired in August. Since it hadn’t been updated I hoped it might still work.
Gotta see if this forum lets me block people like Instagram.
We bought the Expedition because it was the best value of towing ability and comfort. Plus my wife was sick of minivans (3 in a row) and had long wanted an Expy.
I expected a few minor problems because…it’s a Ford…however the turbo coolant leak is appalling in terms of repair cost from a...
Clean the posts and inside battery post connectors. Check the relays. Purchase a service manual with wiring diagrams and trace each circuit to see if they have a common point of failure.
Looks like you got zero input. I want to keep the stock head until but get a bit more bass without adding a sub, amp, etc. Leery of replacing the stock door speakers and getting less bass with the replacements.
What did you end up doing?
A year or more ago I received the P0299 error. I watched a few videos and they removed the innercooler to swap the blow off valve. None of that is at all necessary as I found out today because I finally got around to it.
1. Rotate the white clips 90 degrees and pull the protective cowl out of...
The A/C blower will need the condenser replaced ($80) but easily done by yourself. Coolant system leaks at the connector to the turbos very common and an extremely expensive repair because of the amount of time needed to get to the turbos. The throttle body will need to be cleaned to keep it...
