It's all part of the rear wiper motor assembly. If the wiper motor fails to reach the park position it can also run your battery down. The wiper arm pin that goes in that little slot is spring loaded, and it should compress and allow you to close the window even if the wiper motor is not...
My guess would be the hub lock actuator on that hub is starting to fail ( vacuum leak...) and letting the hub partially engage. Not enough to "lock" the hub, but enough to get the chatter of partial engagement. If the actuators haven't been replaced before, it's just an age thing. The internal...
I assume you checked the fluid level warm and it's good. I would closely inspect the wiring harness and plug for the sensor. Sounds like it's possibly shorting to ground. Make sure it didn't chaff or burn through on an exhaust pipe. How long have you had the Expy ?

That usually connects to the evap purge control valve there just above the brake master cylinder booster.
Look on the bottom of that purge control valve and you should see a nipple to connect it to.

Ford 3V motors don't have the traditional EGR valve that you can see and replace. On the 3V motors EGR is built in as a function of valve timing. Only the man above knows why. My guess is to make the feds happy, that the EGR system couldn't be tampered with by owners.

You're talking about the 2013 Expy right ? How do the dust boots look on the front lower ball joints ? If they're torn or ripped it's time to replace 'em. But you can have an alignment shop look the suspension over and give you a better opinion. Tell them what you're hearing, and let them test...
Do you mean that breather tube that's over #4 ? Push the grey plastic "clip" down out of it's groove and pull the elbow up and off the nipple.
Or the plug on the high pressure fuel pump over #6 ? Should have access after unplugging the fuel pump and move the plug harness out of the way.
You can drive it, as long as you verify the fluid level in the differential is full. Get a 3/8 ratchet and take the fill plug out and check the oil level. Get a quart of 75w-140 synthetic gear oil at any autoparts store and a big syringe with a tube on it to bring the fluid level up to the fill...
If it's your FX4 you're talking about, then yes the bearings are integral to the hub and normally the whole assembly is changed. $200 in parts and an hour of your time. Just note whether you have 6 lug wheels or the HD 7 lug wheels and order the right assembly. But yeah, find a new shop.
2005...
I would assume the linkage attachment failed for the passengerside arm. You just have to pull the windshield cowling off and look at it. You can buy just the linkage assembly and swap your motor/transmission over to it. Or you can buy the entire assembly for a few dollars more. All from Rock...
Get a new thermostat as a start.
OEM Motorcraft Thermostat at Rock Auto
Yes, you should have a hot water control valve in the heater hose going to the front heater core. After you replace the thermostat feel the heater hoses and make sure they're passing hot water through them. Probably...
What does the shop say ? It looks like it spit 1 of the 2 valve keepers as well ? Cam lobe torn up ? If you're gonna keep the vehicle it might be worth looking at a remanned motor with a warranty and peace of mind.

The factory uses the halogen bulbs. Cheap LEDs will cause static in some vehicles.
( They also present a terrible beam pattern and blind oncoming traffic )
You are correct 9006 for low beams and 9005 for high beams.

Do you have a multimeter you can measure voltage with ? What voltage do you get across the battery terminals with the engine at idle ? Should see 14v or thereabouts. If you see less than 13 your alternator is bad. This will cause all kinds of odd sensor readings throughout the system.
