Front Seat Troubles

We have an 03 Eddie Bauer. It's seen better days but it gets us there. Wife (5'2) is primary driver, but I (5'10) have preset no. 2. Driver seat stopped moving yesterday, and is stuck in my driving position. Tried buttons on door panel, and tried to use controls on seat. Neither working. Wasn't lagging or slow in moving before it stopped so I don't think the motor has gone out. Any ideas?

You checked fuse 109 and it's good ? It's one of those big 30A square ones in the lower half of the fuse box.

When activating either seat switch, do you hear any noise from the seat motor?

If so, look under the seat from the front and rear using a strong flashlight, to see if anything is jammed in either seat track (such as a coin or pebble).

Also look for anything that may be under the seat and interfering with the wiring (such as a kid’s toy).

I did check the 109 fuse. It's fine. There is a message when trying to turn on/off the "Easy Exit Assist" that states "Data Error." The passenger side works fine, but driver does absolutely nothing. Nothing under the seat - was my first thought with having young kids.

Any chance you have a cut/torn wire or connector separated under the seat? If the driver seat does nothing and the fuse is good and you have a data error sounds like something may have a poor or no connection.
