I'm just above you in NY... and have 20% on mine... and up here they don't like it... **knock on wood** no problems with expy but on old f150 and neon got pulled over for the 20%.... wouldn't go darker then that or do 35% to be safer...
there have been a few that blacked them out themselves.... or find a set already done and swap the housing. pretty straight forward process.... others should chime in soon
for a detail spray, between buffing, I like the meguiars detail wax sold at walmart.... has been working for me and is a nice in between when I dont wanna drag out the porter cable
I like the bedliner since my lower valance is holding up.... did my dads brushgaurd this fall so gonna check that out this spring and see how it held up.... but I want something that I wont have to touch up....
best bet would be when you get the door open take off the panel and look inside to see if something is sticking? also does your door lock move freely.... the motors are known to go bad and not fully unlock...
I know on the f150 forums... badges are usually washed with acetone and then painted black to get the blacked out look.... its one more thing I wanna do when I paint my tan this summer

headers wont fit... and a TB is so minimal gains for the cost it wouldn't be worth it until you start doing crazy motor mods.... and for exhaust it would be personal preference... I prefer flowmaster but search youtube for ideas
