Yeah. That would be better , and cheaper for you. I did the same thing. Bought new tires, lifted it and 3 days later bought BIGGER tires lol. You can see the phot dates. Kind of funny. It's best to do the lift, then get tires. Lost my ass selling the old barely used tires.
Date stamp...
Stupid as hell......
Here's mine when it had 265/75/16... so just a little bigger than stock. Not a good look. lol. Mind you I also have the torson bars cranked and 2 inch spacers in the back. But still....
Here was the same tires with just the 2 inch lift.... a little better. Maybe...
Don't go any smaller than 33's. You'll be disappointed with anything smaller. 3 inch lift no problem. I did a 3 inch Body Lift , and have 2 inch spacers in the back, and did a simple 2 inch torsion twist on the front and I easily fit 35's.
You know, mine did this exact same thing the other day. Ran smooth unless I stepped on the gas, and then the truck shuddered like crazy. I was waiting on the CEL so I coud check codes, turnrd it around to take it home, then Bam... ran smooth as ever again. I was thinking maybe bad gas ( I'm on...
HaHa !!! Alaska sounds like Alberta. We have a saying... Don't like the weather? Wait a minute !!!
We were doing the same thing. Snow last week and then a few days later we are driving around with top off on the Jeep. Last time before we plop the hard top back on for the Winter.
Looks great!! Not sure if it's just the pics but the front sure seems to sit a lot higher then the back... Looks real mean... spacers in the back would probably help that out if you ever want to level it out.
Good looking ride !!! Love the running boards..
I've seen Navigators driving around town like that. Poor kids in the back with their hair flying in the air even over small bumps. Pretty insane. Do the spring conversion.
I agree with everyone !!!!! 33's at least. ( Then you'll want 35's !!!)
I know they are different Gen Expy's... but for your comparison... Here's mine when I had 31's and the lift. Looked awful.
Had to 35's on right away !!! You can see the pics were taken 3 days apart . lol...
