I actually had my key cut at a locksmith... didn't trust the local hardware store on the $12 chipped key... They never get the .49 cent ones right the first try. Cost me $3. I still have 3 uncut keys left luckily. For some reason the ebay seller sent me 4 instead of 2. :)
Yup... I have the 2 inch metal ones.... awesome cheap mod.... like KWT said. See if you can borrow a spring compressor from someone to make it a little easier on you.
I believe you can put them on top of the springs, but I put mine under. Quick pic for you so you know wht you are looking for...
Probably not your elbow. You would definatley notice it if it was your elbow. You wouldn't just be throwing codes, the truck would idle poorly. Just moving it around while idling, or putting your fingers over it would cause the engine to start running smooth.

Yup, I bought smaller tire's and regretted it. Had 35's on there in no time, and lost my shirt selling the almost brand new older tires.
