    The studs are extremely common to break off. Find an exhaust shop, and they'll charge about 80-110 bucks to extract it and install a new one. If you or your guy wants to know how to do it, PM me. I can type it out but it takes a while so I don't want to do it unless you want the information...

    Not sure, but like I said I checked the math too and it all was about the same. Unless your speedometer is incredibly off, it will all average out about the same. The difference is small enough to be negligible. Sent from the Pocket Computer

    I also have bigger tires. GPS speedometer (another phone app) and some math shows I lose 1 mile for every 100 I actually drive. That is such a minimal difference the MPG's won't be too far off. At 70 mph my speedo read about 3-4mph slow. Besides, the truck doesn't know you have bigger tires...

    Haha you input your mileage at the fill up as well as the amount of gallons it took to fill all the way up. It does some fancy math stuff (simple division really) and calculates it out. You have to remember to do it each fill up but I got in the habit quickly. Sent from the Pocket Computer

    If you have a smart phone, there are many different apps that track MPG's accurately. I have an iPhone and use Gas Cubby. It would help verify the readings. Also if switching the tune reset the comp it might take a week or two for the reset fuel mileage to average out.

    I have only seen one thread of a guy that installed a turbo, and it was completely custom and for a 5.4. I would think if such a kit existed that it would be a more common modification. More people supercharge the motor than turbo. Hope that helps.

    If cleaning the IAC makes no difference, reset the PCM and let it idle for a little while. Should start at about 1000rpms and come down to 650ish after 5-10 seconds depending on the temperature.

    No damage will be caused by old spark plugs unless one was missing every rotation. It would really not run well at all if that were the case though.     My truck rattles too, sounds like a piece of tin rattling!?! I think there is an adjustment under the dash for the gear selector. Check Youtube to see if there is anything out there on how to fix it.

    I would also look into the update. You might have to plug it into a computer that has a wifi connection in your driveway. The Ford's do not have a built-in wifi feature (stupid Chevrolet) so it might not be able to update anything other than maps through the current connection. Worth a look...

    Well an Edge or SCT Tuner are right around $3-400. It will help but it is not going to be a blow-away difference like doing gears would be. If it were me, I would do gears first and if it still wasn't enough, invest in a tuner at that point. Ford dropped the 3.31 gears I think after 99...

    Well you can't really have both when it comes to gear ratio. 3.31's will put less torque to the road but they allow the engine to run at lower RPM's at any given speed, so in theory the gas mileage should be better with that ratio than say my 3.73's. But if you are looking for quicker...
