We just put new brakes, rotors, and a new caliper on the truck. We drove the truck 5 mins down the road and the caliper was stuck. We disconnected the ABS vacuum hoses to that brake and now the truck tire can spin if it's jacked up and the truck is drivable. We were on the road the other day and the truck did the same thing but everything is disconnected. I had to release the pressure by using the brake bleeder valve. Any suggestion of what it might be??

It helps to know the year and model of your expy

sounds like the pads may have not been installed properly.
I would pull the caliper and re check

kindly update your signature line with year model and engine information. This can be done in the USER CP section as this information helps others give you replies specific to your expy

I think it might be the vacuum hose. I'm having a hard time finding parts for the truck. Any suggestions where I can buy them?

Vac lines on abs? It has been a hydraulic brake system for years. The only vac line I know of is on the brake booster. If this is a new system I would like to know the year it is on.

It's an 03 EB. I already dc the vacuum lines but I don't know if it's to the 4wd or abs. When I did dc it the abs light came on and if I turn on the 4wd the caliper sticks.

There aren't any vacuum lines running to the calipers. It sounds like got disconnected the ABS sensor. If the caliper is mechanically then you might want to have the ABS module checked out.

was this problem happening before you installed new brakes, rotors, and a new caliper on the expy?

Not at all. We bled the brakes, loosened them, let the newness ware off. And still the same problem. Only relief we get is when we release the pressure and it will last a couple hundred miles and then the left front locks back up.

being the problem didn't occur until the new parts were installed I would suspect that the wrong caliper was installed or the disk or pads are the problem It sounds like something isn't seated correctly. I would remove the parts from the affected side and try again. Not to insult you but it either the parts or something was done when installing the new parts.

possibly something in the new caliper isn't letting the brake fluid to flow back out

You can also disable the abs system for a test drive. If the caliper doesn't lock up then there is a problem with the valves in the abs module.

Did you flush the old brake fluid out of the entire brake system? Rule of thumb is if the fluid is contaminated you flush the entire system. (If one line is contaminated they all are contaminated along with the mc.)
