Looks great, it always amazes people when they find out paint like ours is so old yet looks so good. I'm a firm believer that the paint quality on these early gen expo's is superior to the newer ones
Alright guys so its time for my baby to come back to life. She's been sitting in the driveway with the battery disconnected since mid december, any suggestions on making sure the first start up is as safe and smooth as possible. Obviously make sure the battery is good to go but anything else?
The led in these are basically just running lights, not sure if you thought they were the main light source or not. The ones he posted are projectors, they use a normal halogen bulb but because they're low quality they have poor aiming and light output from what I have seen. Plus many of those...
Message me any questions you have, the link for soundman car audio is good because they're the best with tablet installs. But I kinda just made my own method as I went along and it's been working out awesome so far. Plus my way was far cheaper than anything from soundman
Wait til you see mine in a month or so. Doing the entire truck white on white, did one of my 26's yesterday to practice.....3 cans later and it looks perfect. Just waiting on some warmer weather and then ill get it done. I got a kit with a spray gun and 6 gallons of sprayable dip
Our lower radiator hoses seem to be a special order part at most auto stores I've seen. It's a very strange design that sucks IMO. Not only is the clamp/connector design strange but the hose itself has smaller hoses coming off it I thought too
The weathertech digifits are expensive but well worth the money I think. Plus their customer service is top notch.....the mats in my mothers audi started to get deformed after 2 years so I emailed them a couple pics and an explanation and within 24 hours they shipped us out a brand new set...
About the tie rods....I wouldn't let those go much longer if you think they are starting to have play. One of mine gave out years ago while driving like 20mph and it was a pretty scary experience
As scary as this is to hear about, it really makes me feel safe when i drive my dads 09' expo. I once saw a head on accident involving a 3rd gen police expo and a camry, the police expo looked similar to this in the front and was missing a front wheel yet the cop was standing outside of the...
It depends if you're trying to accomplish look and sound or just sound. You should be able to have a local shop just swap out for a new muffler for under 100$ and leave the stock piping and tip, if you just want the sound. My setup is straight pipe from where the stock muffler was, that branches...
I agree on the weather having a big effect. In the summer mine will drop down below 1000 to its normal idle fairly quickly but in the winter or cold weather it hangs out around 1100-1200 for a while.
I'm not positive on the fender trim but the front seats will be 4 torx bolts each....one at each corner. To get them out, spray some penetrating oil and let it set in to the bolts because I snapped one trying to get them out
So if it is the same as mine then youll need to take out all the pillars, front overhead console, sunroof rubber surround piece (held in with some weird glue that doesnt dry so just pull towards the center of the opening), backseat grab handles (bolts under the pop off covers), sun visors, 2nd...
