    In-dash DVD

Yeah, Bob, that's along the lines of what I was saying...One disc full of WMAs or MP3s is more or less a CD changer magazine's worth of music...and of course auxillary input from audioplayers...Oh well...

He really seems to want to keep his factory CD changer, though... Like I said, seems like his best bet is a portable DVD Player/Screen combo or two with some seatback mounts...We'll see what he has to say...

    In-dash DVD

If you want to keep all of your stock components so badly, maybe you should just look into portable DVD players. There are lots of different kinds so I'm pretty sure you could find something you like. Millionbuy has a good selection of them and I'm sure there are dozens of other websites as...

    In-dash DVD

If the aftermarket units say they have cd changer control capabilities, it is for aftermarket units of the same make as the headunit. In this case, you need to buy the changer and cable to connect it to the headunit. For example: Pioneer DVD Headunit + Pioneer CD Changer + Pioneer...

    In-dash DVD

Well...maybe this will make you feel better...pretty much any indash dvd player you get will most likely also be able to play mp3/wma files. That being the case, you can burn cd's in one of those formats. I can fit around 120 wma files on a burned cd, which is roughly 6 cd's worth of...

A mechanic and 450 bucks later

My Expedition recently had new sparkplugs installed, new air filter installed, oil + oil filter change, fuel filter change, and a differential fluid change--basically 100K mile service, minus the trans flush, which we didn't get to yet. My father and I did all the work over the course of a...

Unfortunately--to my knowledge, anyway--it is not possible to replace the factory headunit and retain the ability to use the factory CD changer and rear-passenger controls.

Welcome to the forum! I second Avro with going all black and painting the plastic trim to match, but that's just my preference. Either way, welcome to the forum and I hope you'll like it here.

    Remo's Ride

They're 16" x 7" stock Ford alloy rims. They look smaller because the tires are so much bigger than stock. The taller sidewalls makes the wheels look smaller.

    Remo's Ride

Here are some updated pics...stock 16" rims with LT285/75 AT's for the winter: I know its dirty, don't flame me. It was too damn cold to polish up all my chrome by hand like I usually do. It was below freezing that day and damn windy.

Yeah, there's a possibility I will doing some computer tuning sometime. So far, I found a Diablo Sport Predator for $300 shipped. I haven't seen anything cheaper than that, but I haven't really been shopping around too much. I am pretty broke...

    Remo's Ride

Honestly, I love my 22's. The wider tires (305) and the lower profiles (40) help the truck so much in terms of handling. Handling is unbelievably better. It tracks better on the highway and obviously taking turns is much better. The ride is stiffer and more responsive, but with 40 series...

    Batteries.

As far as the lighting, I'd stick with all LED's if I were you. Neons use a lot more battery, get hot, and seem to be more fragile/prone to breaking. I've always had good experiences with LED's, though. They are usually brighter, cheaper, more efficient, more durable, etc. You can wire up...

    Painted Stock Rims?

Hey guys, My 2000 XLT came with the stock double-five spoke silver painted/polished alloy 16" x 7" rims. Well after 7 years as a work truck, the rims are really beat. Heavy oxidation, baked on break dust, etching, heavy scratches, etc... They are well beyond a good cleaning. I've tried...

Well, there is a deep wedgewood blue, my guess is that's it if you know its wedgewood blue. Check the tag on the b pillar on the drivers side, behind the driver's door. One the tag, it says Exterior Paint or something similar near the bottom. Medium Wedgewood blue has code LB, Deep Wedgewood...

    03-06 Bumper Hitch Cover

Order through the dealership or find one in a junkyard? I found one on ebay after a little bit of searching... The store is "autoaccessory4u" It's made by streetscene and has parking sensors. Costs $120 plus shipping. It's unpainted, also. Not sure if that is what you are looking for...

    Remo's Ride

For Avro and anyone else interested... I did a little research and my paint is Medium Wedgewood Blue. Also found out that Duplicolor sells it in spray cans so I will be painting my front valance to match in the spring/summer.
