Cracked Wheels on Highway Patrol Expys

Just heard on our local news in Phoenix that our Highway Patrol has taken all their 2003 - 2007 Ford Expeditions off the road because of cracks in the rims. They said Ford is cooperating with the investigation but that's all they know at this time. All the wheels have been sent somewhere for analysis.

I thought that I would post an important item on this forum by mentioning the cracked wheels. If you are referring to the Arizona Highway Patrol as "piggies", you are talking about the agency that I worked for for 26 years. They would risk their lives to save yours if you were in a serious car accident here in Arizona. They also make our roads a safer place to drive by getting speeders, drunks, drug users, and otherswise bad drivers off our roads so you can drive your Expedition with less worry about being in an accident!

Hmm...maybe they will sell them and upgrade to all new 2007's!! I might have to check out a police auction here soon....unless they replace all the stock rims with some 24's with spinners lol

Ford had the same problem with crown vic's as well. I like our marked expedition, although the thing is a dog when compared to a crown vic. My expedition feels much faster, the equipment makes a difference!
