That only seems to apply to Chevys. There's a lot more behind it. Its more like the peak torque moves up in the RPM when you make the pipes larger. You gain more torque, but its higher in the RPM range. So people "feel" like they lost power. When that is not the case. The easier an engine...
Here's my $0.02. You will not go wrong doing the PI swap. I do believe you'll gain that much HP and you should see an increase in torque. You'll probably feel the torque more than the HP. You might even gain better MPG from the engine not having to work so hard breathing. But that all depends on...
Found out the hard way I had a leak from the drivers upper corner of my windshield. So instead of running out and spending the $230 for what a new windshield would cost me in my area. I decided to try this...
I have no idea who was bashing 2WD models? They serve people very well. I like having the 4WD just for the versatility. Plus with the open rear and and the current state of wet grass. It makes getting around a little less messy. Since I don't have to spin the back tires to go places. I am...
I have the 4.6L and its 4wd. Gotts mod and thats it. I like driving it a lot. I would like to get some headers and a nice sounding exhaust. Then get my trans. cooler and temp guage installed.
I'm thinking its probably a blockage in the exhaust. Don't replace the filter again. You did put it in going the right direction, yes? I haven't replaced one on my truck yet so I don't know if it can be put in backwards. But its worth a thought.
Hmm, thats an interesting problem. No codes and it still runs rough at initial start up? Did you replace the fuel filter as well? Also can you drive it at all to see how it responds under load?
I understand getting some truth from your young ones. Mine have done that to me as well.
First check fuel pressure. Should be around 40 psi. If not, its the fuel pump or regulator. Next make sure all electrical connections are made. Then run codes in the computer. Then check spark plugs and coils. Stop at the one of these that fixes the problem.
I've used KYB on three of my cars. They work great! Nice firm control without being harsh. But the price is a bit much per axle. I would shop around a little bit. The KYB's are more expensive. But not THAT much more expensive!
I dont know how much cheaper it'd be for me. Wife, four kids and if each one needed their own kayak, lol. We live about 2 miles from the James river in Virginia. So we have a good option for going!
You know I've never tried Kayaking! Good to know I can fit two on the roof rack if I ever wanted to though. Any reason for so many tie downs on kayaks? Is it a fear of putting too much pressure on one area and cracking the hull?
Just so everyone on this site knows. I fixed the problem. It turned out to be the battery cables. Even though they showed 12.46V at the starter. Enough of the cable was broken down to not allow them to carry the load amperage wise. So for $30 and some ingenuity I replaced the cables from the...
This is my first post so hey everyone! I bought this truck on Saturday knowing it would need a new alternator. The PO gave me a new battery. Since Saturday I replaced the alternator. I ran it for a bit after and shut it off while cleaning it. I went to start it after cleaning and the starter...
