    Wheels

305 50 on 20 inch rims is what I have seen look the best. Only problem is the rims are around 4-500 bucks. Here is a tire calculator to help you with your rim and tire choice. It an excellent gauge to see if you will remain within the speedo requiremnets. Tire and Rim calculator

    Window Tinting

I did 20% also in the front to compliment the back. Took approximately 20 mins with an appt. Had LA Tint fix me up. Word of warning though. Check with your local laws. Some States have laws against dark tints and the locals will pull you over if it too dark. The Installers know the law and...

    oil change

The 3K oil change primarily pertains to fleet or what they call "rough service". Rough service is defined as stop and start driving in city traffic. Oils have a tendancy of taking on minute traces of water from condensation and this breaks the oil down into acids that can be harmful to the...

    Rear Differential Whine

Whoops forgot to log in. That TSB some one else on the forum gave me and the dealer here in Virgina was not aware of (for the 2003 anyway). He fixed the problem under warranty and all is good.

    Whine sound at 45MPH

Excellent! That is what I am looking for. I will be bringing it in on Monday for repairs. It only has 5,000 miles on it, so hopefully it didn't do to much damage. Thanks for the TSB #.

    Whine sound at 45MPH

Anybody out there that has had the rearend problems? What did it sound like? I have a whining sound coming from the drive train that concerns me. It gets bad at 45MPH and goes higher in pitch as you increase in speed. But it only does it when I step on the gas. If I let off and coast it...

Wasn't there a recall on these? Check NHTSA website and they will tell you if they have been recalled. In fact there is. Any Models manufactured between Aug 2000 and early this year by Southern Comfort Conversions is eligible. Don't know if this helps but is good info for anyone else. Check...

    heated/cooled front seats

...Let be the first to tell you...these bad boys work great!!! The A/C seats actually gets a little too cool. They go on for about 10 minutes then automatically shutoff. I tell you the whole dual zone A/C package is GREAT. The wife likes the heat for her back and sets her side A/C fan...

    Resale value

Have to agree with bikerider. While alot of us got the 0% financing, it is starting to affect aftermarket prices. Check Fleabay for 03 Expy prices and see what they are selling for. Prices are terrible. I don't expect to be selling anytime soon...

    power 3rd row seat

CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS ROCK!!!! Love this feature in the Summer! As far as the power controlled seats in the rear... gotta love em. They fold flat at the touch of the button. Wife couldn't be more happier when she gets the grocerys or is taxiing the kids all over town.

    Sunroof noise on 03 Expedition

They are about 50-60 bucks through Ford. They cut down on some of the noise (especially if you open the POWER [that is awesome] rear vents). I only open it for local driving under 45MPH and it is quite bearable then.

Why do you drive an Expedition?

I too did the same...researched all the SUV's in the market. Ford, by far, offered the most bang for the buck with the Expedition. I have been a chevy owner for the longest time (still have my 84 GMC 3/4 ton pickup) and they just are cheaply engineered. Even the 4.8/5.3 powerplants have...

New Info on 03 Brake dust problem

Apparently enough of us are complaining about the brake dust problem that Ford is issuing a TSB to correct the problem. The only drawback is that the new pads will not be available until the last quarter. KEEP COMPLAINING and they will replace them under the TSB as soon as they become...
