Overheating head unit
What deck is it? I know of a few kenwoods, pioneers and an alpine that all do this in our trucks and alike. The reasoning is lack of air flow from the restrictive plastic cavity they are in as well these units are slightliy deeper than most. Also which install dashkit was used?- oblivion

Upgrade stereo ideas
2 DIN will look way cleaner but that said, none will fit without modifications. Easiet way to replace everything your taking out and gain what you want is to find something that does Dual Zone Video. That way you can run a dvd from the deck to teh screen and still listen to the radio or ipod...- oblivion

I have a little over 40 feet in my 4 doors, and another 80 feet for the floor, hatch and the back quarters. Also, I have another 40 I am going to put on the roof when it warms up. Mach replacement speakers.
They are 6x8, you can get 6x8 replacements or 5 1/4" with adapter plates. Also to my knowledge theres only 4 speakers. If your doing them yourself sound deaden the doors as well. Makes a HUGE improvement. I did over 40 feet of deadening in my '99 jsut in the doors- oblivion
