    Street Scene Grille

Big bummer. The lower grille on my Expy is actually a piece of the lower valance and cannot be removed. I'm definately not giong to cut it out, so I'm left with keeping it as is or buying a complete lower valance (bumper cover) and doing it. The lower valance is $250 from Street Scene. I'm...

    Street Scene Grille

I got the new grille in and re-installed the Street Scene grille. The new one I got was from Rock Auto and was one piece instead of the OEM style 2 piece. Now I'm just waiting on the lower to finish her up and then re-install the bull bar.

    death wobble

I had this on my '78 Bronco. I had to replace the rear leaf springs, shocks, u-joints and ball joints......everything. Good luck. It shook so hard it felt like the wind was knocked out of you.

    New Mod? TPS Adjustment

I used a phillips head to losen the screws on the TPS, a drill to open up the brass bushing and a multimeter to check the voltage. I followed the directions and used the positive lead of multimeter on grey w/ white stripe wire (middle wire) and the negative lead of multimeter on grey w/ red...

    New Mod? TPS Adjustment

I checked the TPS in my Crown Victoria and it was at .83 so I set it a .98. I had to drill out a lot of the brass bushing to get it to fit. I'll drive it tomorrow and see if there is any difference.

    Street Scene Grille

I'm waiting on the lower grille now. You won't be able to see it when the bull bar and lights go back on, but I'm going to do it any way.

    Street Scene Grille

I'm not sure what you're refering to, but the bottom of the center grille is where the little plastic tabs broke and you can see a small white spot in the lower right hand corner. The only real downside is that you can see everything behind the grille. I might fab a louvered metal sheet to go...

    Street Scene Grille

I'm still debating if I'm going to put the Ford emblem on it or not. I'm kinda partial to it not being there.

Different generation, but I'm sure it's kinda similar. http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/0302tr_2003_expedition_billet_grille_insert/index.html

    Holes in bumper

In the past I've just used the black plastic fasteners that are usually used to hold interior parts.

    Street Scene Grille

OK, so I under took the 2+ hour install for the powder coated grille. You basically have to take the whole bumper cover off to get to the clips that hold the grille. Being OCD, I didn't want to cut up my OEM grille and bought a cheapie off of Ebay to cut up. As I was working on the ebay...

for those with a CCW, where do you keep your sidearm?

I just keep either my Glock 26 or 36 in a IWB Kydex holster on my hip. I've driven with it there even on long trips (10+ hours) and it's never bothered me-always comfortable. One option I've been thinking about is a Console Vault. It looks pretty secure for short term securing-running into...

So what do you hide in....

How much space is actually behind the plastic trim in the back area? I've thought about trying to build in a gun safe some where back there.

    Wheel/tire opinions and advice

Who make the brake kit? Any part #'s? I'm trying to keep the tires around 33" just to be semi-practical.

What kind of MPG decrease have you guys with 33's-35's noticed?

    Wheel/tire opinions and advice

OK, my plan is to get the 3/2 leveling kit to add 33" tires. I've pretty much decided on the Eagle 063 wheels. What I need to decide now is do I want 17" or 18" wheels. I'm leaning towards the 17's because of the abundance of choices in tires for 285/70R17, specifically for the Firestone...

    ipod charging dock

I use this: I rarely use the FM transmitter anymore, but it's still handy as a charger/holder. I use a cable going to the headphone output or through Bluetooth. It plugs into the accessory port in the console/dash and is easily within reach.

    '04 Towing Performance

I run an SCT II custom tuner on my Crown Victoria and love it. I know they make them for the 2004 Expy as well. What you'll have to do is find a shop that does custom tunes for Expeditions or F150s and have them write a custom towing tune for you.

    First Mods

The Aires Bull Bar and Hella 500FF lights are the first real mods I've done on the Expy. I did the Weathertech window/bug guards and floor liner, but they aren't really mods IMHO. I did the Gotts mod a while ago, but I think we all know what that looks like. I'm planning on a Gryphon...
