Had this happen in one of our CVPI cruisers a couple of weeks ago. The AC would blow normal when stopped, but turn way down while driving. At one point it would only blow on low and the fan speed switch wouldn't do anything. I believe it turned out to be a vaccuum leak.
My 2004 Expy did that this winter when we were running about 20 degrees with windchill. I read that it takes a while for the trans fluid to get it into gear so the computer applies the pressure slowly. I haven't had any issues when it's warm outside.
I looked for the article but can't...
I'm kinda confused about which transmission I have. My transmission code is W, which is supossed to be a 5 speed manual tranny, but I have a 4 speed auto. WTF over? Anyone know how to tell another way?
I'm gonna wait 'till spring before I swap the TB's out. I'm kinda confused about which transmission I have. My transmission code is W, which is supossed to be a 5 speed manual tranny, but I have a 4 speed auto. WTF over?
BC did the valve body in my CV and it really firmed up the shifts and goes through the gears faster. It was one of the best bangs for the buck mods in my CV.
But, would it do the same for the Expy? I really want it to give more acceleration and to prevent some wear that you get from the TC...
Has anyone here installed a custom valve body in their transmissions? I have one in my Crown Victoria and it made a world of difference. Any negatives?
Running the Firestone Destination AT's right now and love them. We recently had 22" of snow and the Expedition had no issues chewing up the snow. I never lost traction and they even gripped good in the ice and rain. As long as I get decent wear out of them, I'll probably get them again.
Check in about once a month. Not a lot of traffic here, so threads don't get answered quickly. Hopefully it will pick up a bit and new material will get posted.
I was actually thinking about getting a warranty from a company called Warranty Direct. It sounds like a similar company to what the dealer services stuff is. http://www.warrantydirect.com/
