I have 03 XLT,automatic,75K miles. When driving down the highway the air stops coming out of front dash vents but still comes out of rear vents. I can hear the fan cycle up and down manually but air coming out barely changes. I have an 04 F-150 that the blend door sticks but doesn't seem like same problem here. Anyone have an idea or direct me to the right threas?

Does it still come out when you are idling, or going at low speeds? Does it do it for any fan position? Is your A/C the manual (knobs) or automatic (push buttons) type?

I just noticed the other day that air started coming out again when we stopped. Seems like a damper is shutting. It happens at all fan speeds. The fan cycles like it should but very little change in air volume. It has the manual nobs. Thanks for the reply!

Had this happen in one of our CVPI cruisers a couple of weeks ago. The AC would blow normal when stopped, but turn way down while driving. At one point it would only blow on low and the fan speed switch wouldn't do anything. I believe it turned out to be a vaccuum leak.
