My 79 F150 4x4 came with a 300 6cyl. I cracked 3 piston skirts. And then bought 2 different junk yard motors, that had cracked skirts as well. Then finally tossed on a 351 Cleveland. Solved.

I'd check forscan 1st, and if the remote start in plain English option is available to enable, then it try some key fobs. My 17 xlt just needed enabled in forscan. And I have a regular key style fob, so those were like $40 on amazon for 2.

My 17 only does this when the fan speed is set like past half way to max. If we turn inside fan speed down, the loud roaring radiator fan slows down as well. Once truck is rolling you can then turn the fan speed up, and it doesn't roar.

The plastic housing is cracked. And the mirror was dislodged, and now it wont adjust. It's just the drivers side mirror.

Those look hudge! Idt the wife would like those at all, they might be okay if I towed a camper or something. Only thing I tow is a utility trailer, and use the Suburban for that mainly.
